September is Heritage Month in South Africa, and SANCCOB is celebrating our rich heritage and support wildlife conservation. We want to honor our endangered African penguins, who play such an important role in our marine ecosystems. Despite the challenges they face which threatens their existence, such as the lack of food availability, habitat loss, and climate change, we remain committed to their conservation and survival. WEM is also committed to the conservation of African penguins through financial support of SANCCOB, and our participation in the endangered species breeding program with the Species Survival Plan.
