We are incredibly sad to share that Boyd Dymchuk passed away last week. Boyd was a ceramic artist and member of the Nina Collective since 2016. He was a friend and role model to all of us at the Nina; a fixture in our studios whose warmth, humour, and talent enriched our community greatly. His passing is a huge loss to all who knew him and to the Edmonton arts scene.
Our hearts go out to Boyd’s family, including his wife Marilyn who is also an artist in our collective.
A collection of Boyd’s work is currently up at the Art Gallery of Alberta in ‘Wavy Dimension’, a joint exhibition of Boyd and his fellow artist and friend Aaron Harvey. The exhibition will be up until October 6th and we encourage everyone to visit and celebrate his legacy.
