Many medications can cause dry mouth.
There are a few products out there to help alleviate dry mouth, such as mouth rinses, lozenges, and gums.
But I suggest talking to your hygienist (Colleen and Chloe) about it. They can recommend products specified to your exact needs. 🦷😁🪥

Kind of gross if you think about it… the bacteria are basically “pooping” acid in our mouths. 🤢
Don’t forget to brush and floss. Cleaning our tongues and adding a mouth-rinse are a great way to keep our teeth cavity free and our gums nice and healthy #🦷🪥

Cheese is great for your teeth! Not only does it have high levels of phosphate and calcium, which naturally strengthens teeth and bones, but it also helps balance the pH levels in your mouth, which means less harmful acids, more cleansing saliva and fewer cavities! 🦷🧀😄

Let’s talk gum disease.
Gingivitis is the early stages of gum disease caused by plaque and bacterial build up around the gums. Symptoms include red puffy gums and blood in the sink when brushing and flossing. Gingivitis is REVERSIBLE with a good oral care regimen.
If gingivitis is left untreated, the condition can progress to periodontitis. At this stage, supporting bone and fibres that hold teeth in place are IRREVERSIBLY damaged. The space between gums and teeth begin to form pockets, which are deep hollow areas around the teeth that trap plaque and bacteria and ultimately leads to tooth loss.
The best way to keep your gums healthy is to brush and floss twice daily, and to visit your dentist twice a year to monitor and catch any issues before they become a problem. 🦷
