It's another Gorgeous Saturday and the store is hopping! We have another rather large batch of new books, puzzles and bookmarks that arrived late yesterday to show you!! So come on out and shop beautiful Downtown Gananoque and see your friends and neighbours before it gets too chilly and the dreaded white stuff starts flying...

Third Friday post of new arrivals, this time puzzles, games and other merchandise!

Happy Friday!! The weekend is almost here. As promised, here are all the brand new kids and middle school age books plus some restocks from the last few days!!

It's going to be another lovely Fall Friday as we continue to stock and configure the store for all the new items we received over the last few days! There will be 3 posts today, this first one will focus on the adult books we received, the next one will feature puzzles, games, and merchandise and the last one will showcase all the great new kids books that arrived!! Have fun scrolling through and come see us when you can!

Tom is still working away on receiving the 34 cases of books and other stock we received in the last 24 hours, but he is giving us a sneak peek via stack shots of the first 20 or so cases that he has unpacked!

Rain, rain, rain.... makes for a great day to gather up a blanket, hot chocolate and a brave new book!! Tom is absolutely buried in new book, puzzle and game arrivals and the store will be filled to brimming by the weekend. Here is a sneak peek at the boxes upon boxes of new arrivals (33 cases so far!) that poured in late yesterday and this morning!! More to come later today too...

On Truth and Reconciliation Day we, like many of you, recommit ourselves to learning more about how to be better inhabitants of the lands we live on and how to be better neighbours to those whose roots here go much deeper than ours. We are deeply grateful to the many Indigenous authors whose works guide us.

It's Friday and we are all owed some rest and relaxation going into the weekend and....just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water... bahbum, bahbum, bahbum...dodododododo; yet another batch of new books arrives...... (yup Tom is out on a limb all by himself struggling to make it all fun!) JAWS music.... sorry not sorry...

Our best-loved Canadian Fair Trade, Organic Coffee maker: Birch Bark Coffee, has some new packaging and flavour tweaks, plus a closer distribution centre for us Ontarians! Still delicious and fresh, and always in stock at Beggars Banquet Books!!

We are so happy to help the Gananoque Lions Club with this awesome calendar fundraiser. Alison and I used to foster Guide Dogs for Canadian Guide Dogs For The Blind and we know just how much work and money goes into feeding, vet bills, and equipment and how important the dogs become as partners for their new owners. You can get your calendar in store for a grand total of $20 cash! A great investment in a great program.

What a gorgeous Saturday morning and we have just finished shelving all of the new books that arrived in the latter portion of this week!! So many diverse and enjoyable titles for you!! Something for everyone!!
