Faction Wednesday Wheels. Meet Adam. Adam is Faction’s product manager and this is his GT Fury.

Adam says that his DH bike is pretty special to him as he’s been racing enduro since 2018 and hasn’t had a “big bike” since then.

Most notably, Adam placed 13th at both the Fort William World Cup and Mont-Sainte Anne World Cup as a junior in 2016, but since 2018 has spent most of his time racing enduro throughout North America.

Adam says that his grips and brakes are the parts of his bike he’s most picky about. Choosing to ride OneUp Thick Grips and Sram Code RSC brakes he is able to minimize arm pump and have maximum confidence in the rough stuff.

Faction Wednesday Wheels. Meet Yannick, Yannick is one of Faction’s Bike Designers and this is his Norco Fluid FS A2.

Yannick says this is his “do everything bike”. Typically riding at Bromont or Sutton, Yannick also loves getting out to the Neilson Trails at Vallée Bras du Nord.

Updated cockpit with Raceface handlebar and stem with the oil slick bolts. OneUp dropper lever and grips. The XT brakes are a favourite of Yannick as he brought them off his previous bike and onto the Fluid.

The bike came stock with a Marzocchi Z2 but Yannick was interested to try out the Rockshox Lyrik (hence the shockwiz). Yannick also overstroked the shock for some extra travel.

Always trying new things, we’re curious as to what he will try next. 🤔

Faction Wednesday Wheels. Meet Malcolm. Malcolm is one of Faction’s industrial designers and this is his Standert Kreissage RS Team Edition.

The bike speaks for itself. Modern build kit with a classic flare, a complete mix of an 11s/12s Di2 groupset and a light cream coloured frame with white bar tape for a classy look.

Malcolm typically rides around Montreal but will venture out to new locations on occasion.

The team edition frame comes with the team sponsors painted on. Malcolm choosing a Shimano groupset and the frame having a Sram decals can cause some confusion. Custom preferred sponsor stickers are on Malcolm’s “to find” list 😂

Congrats to and the entire team with a win at the Fort William World Cup! We are extremely proud to support such an amazing team and see the Faction logo on the jersey on the top step of the podium. 🏁

Faction Wednesday Wheels. Meet Antoine. Antoine is one of Faction’s project engineers and this is his brand new Open Min.D custom build.

Antoine just finished up building his dream ride. All hand selected components such as the full Shimano Ultegra R8100 12s groupset, Ultegra carbon wheels, Vittoria Pro Control tires, Zipp cockpit and King Cage titanium cages.

While choosing the component selection for the bike, Antoine figured he spends 80% of his time on paved roads and the remaining 20% on dirt roads allowing him to build up the perfect mix of performance to comfort.

Antoine says he now needs to spend a bunch of time on the bike to get his cardio level to match the performance level of his new ride. 😂 Let’s wish him luck

Antoine is not a writer, he is a bike designer, but being able to explain how bikes should ride and feel motivated him and said it helped him become better at his job.
