Mills sharpening

Replace sharpener, new stones installed. Remarkably, performance exceeds previous standards. Initially, I doubted potential improvements, but results are truly exceptional.

When experimenting with different techniques, it's easy to disrupt the optimal cutting profile. In the second picture, you can see me correcting the profile; however, I needed to run it through one more time to achieve the razor sharpness I prefer. This blade has one more cut left in it before it reaches the end of its service life.

3rd picture is of another blade to show similar profile of the end product.

The blades are now razor-sharp.

Yis the season! Out getting some more blades ready for people!

New CBN stone. Super sharp blades coming off hot now.

Chain put back to factory angles. Before and after. The user does a pretty good job and not far off with hand filing. Now it’s ready to cut optimally. Happy cutting everyone!

A chain for myself tonight. Cat claw sharp. 30deg angle with a 10 deg tilt. Raker done to spec.
