HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR LASH APPOINTMENT

✨ Eye makeup residue can prevent your lash extensions from adhering properly.
Waterproof mascara is especially persistent, so try to avoid wearing it a few days before your appointment.

Wearing eyeshadow and eyeliner that is not oil free or made to be worn with lash extensions will leave residue behind as well.

✨ Avoid drinking coffee, energy drinks, or any other sources of caffeine for at least 2-4 hours before your appointment. You want your body to relax while getting your lashes done – a lash nap is encouraged. Instead, have a cup of chamomile tea to help you relax.

✨ You will need to take your contacts out before your appointment. It’s not great to keep your eyes closed for so long with contact lenses in. Sometimes falling asleep with them happens we all human. But it best to have them out during the service.

✨Use the bathroom before arriving to your lash appointment to avoid any discomfort.

If you do have to use the bathroom during your service it may be a little uncomfortable- you will need to keep your eyes mostly closed to avoid your eyes being irritated. But if you are well hydrated it may happen 😅

✨ Avoid wearing any heavy eye creams or oily sunscreens on the day of your appointment. The area around your eyes will be cleansed before getting started, but you want to totally eliminate any chances of oily residue sticking around. 

✨ At Stigma & Co. Beauty a new set of eyelash extensions can take up to 3.5 hours. Your 2-3 week fill may take 1.5-2.5 hrs. It may sound like a long time, but remember that I am applying the lash extensions one by one to each one of your natural lashes (100+ per eye). I am also making sure that I am moving those little baby lashes out the way so they don’t get lost and stick to the extension - sometimes they like to fight back and get into the way. 😅🙃

Make sure to schedule accordingly and give yourself plenty of time for the entire appointment. The last thing you want is to stress about the time when you’re lying back in the treatment bed.

I used flat classic lashes to create a darker yet still natural look. 1:1 ratio

Remember your lashes can look as natural or dramatic as you want. Just be open and honest with your lash artist 💜🥰

Be cautious when using your face moisturizer, eye creams, face wash and makeup removers. They may contain oil that will break down the adhesive of your lash extensions.

Try to avoid wearing eyeshadow and eyeliner while you have your lash extensions as well. If you do, make sure you wash your lashes really really really well.

The wet / mascara look is created by using 2-4 volume lashes that are not fanned out and applied to one isolated natural lash at time.
