Legacy Stitches

Whew! This spring my friend Donna W and I joined the Stitcher's Club in GP. Over the past year, the group stitched up 6,591 items, all of which get donated to various community groups in our region. That is a lot of hats, mittens, slippers, blankets, sweaters, dishcloths, stuffies and other items! The members of the group use donated yarn to create these wonderful items. Some of our personal yarn stash gets used as well! To keep these highly motivated and creative Stitcher's busy a lot of yarn is needed. Yarn donations are always appreciated can be dropped off at the Golden Age Centre. G.P., or contact me.
#2280 can also be used at the Bottle Depot, and proceeds will be used to purchsse new yarn.
I am changing my crochet focus to make items for this great group . Last three photos are a couple of items I contributed.

Red/grey one is 14 inches wide and suits someone approx. 5'6" tall. 72" total length.
Blue/grey one is about 12 inches wide and suits someone about 5'6". 70 inches total length.

Even during this incredible heat wave, the passion continues - in the basement and on a smaller scale! A few more rows to add, then create a border.

Bit of a gloomy day here so starting a new project(s)! Love how they are turning out. This one will have varying shades of purple. Picked up some vintage yarn at a garage sale so size of purplish one may be limited to approximately 45 inches/110 cm square. Bright yellow sunshine one will be about the same size. Let me know if you are interested in either one of these.
