I will be away from the office from Friday, August 2nd to Tuesday, August 6th.

Balancing two medical clinics between my partner and I, working with a family health team two days a week, and managing my own social platforms can be overwhelming. As a Libra, I have a deep need for balance and harmony, striving for equilibrium in all areas of life—relationships, work, and personal well-being. Disruptions to this balance can be quite unsettling for me, as they directly affect my sense of fairness and peace. Unfortunately, this has been a week filled with personal and professional disruption.... Yippee !! Seriously though, it's giving full moon vibes !!

Additionally, many of you are aware that I have ADHD - (since early childhood, not since tiktok became a thing). While I take pride in my achievements, I have always struggled with Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria since I was a little girl. This trait, often associated with ADHD, involves intense emotional pain in response to rejection, criticism, or failure. It’s a double-edged sword: it motivates me to excel and invest deeply in my work, but it also makes it challenging to cope with criticism, which is an inevitable part of any endeavor.

Long story short, owning a business is a wild ride and my inner Libra is needing serious work-life balance.

Embracing the lip filler journey 💋 Unfortunately, bruising may be (and often is) part of the lip filler process, but the results are WORTH it.

** This client had taken some vitamins prior to their appointment that we later discovered had blood thinning properties - hindsight is 20/20 ! The bruising resolved quickly over the week. It can be concealed with makeup after 24hr and is NOT painful. **

Pre-treatment guidelines you can follow to reduce bruising include, but are not limited to, the following:

*Blood Thinners: Avoid medications and certain supplements that can thin the blood such as aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John's Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, and NSAIDs (Ibuprofen/Motrin/Advil/Aleve) have a blood thinning effect and can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections.

*Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol for at least 24 hours before your lip filler appointment.

*Strenuous Exercise: Avoid intense physical activity on the day of the procedure, as it can increase blood flow.

*Caffeine: Limit your intake of caffeinated beverages on the day of the appointment, as caffeine can also contribute to increased blood flow.

*Spicy Foods: Avoid consuming spicy foods, as they may lead to increased blood circulation and potential irritation post-procedure.

Always follow your healthcare provider's specific pre-procedure guidelines for the best results and minimal complications. Consultation prior to your treatment allows us to provide you with personalized advice tailored to your health and circumstances.
