Instead of divesting over $50M in companies explicitly supporting the genocide in Palestine, the University of Guelph is threatening to take legal action against the student encampment if they don't leave by 8 pm today.
The students are asking for the community to come show solidarity at the Peopleβs Plaza for Palestine tonight at 8PM! We must show the university we stand for a free Palestine and support the students in their demands for divestment.
The encampment is near the bus loop behind the University Centre at Branion Plaza. All supportive community members welcome. Come show your support π΅πΈ

Whether you start your day by reading from the Quran or the Bible, reading God's words feels like the perfect way to start.
Good morning beautiful people βοΈπβ
Over the past seven months I've seen couples get married, researchers defend their thesis, fathers rebuild their homes, students celebrate memorizing the Quran, young men breakdance, journalists covering the news after losing their families.. All of this while still being bombed day and night.
Mahmoud Darwish (Palestinian poet) once said: "We love life if we find a way to it". We are STUBBORN people. And we're not going anywhere π΅πΈ
Do you still think stubbornness is a vice?

As the world witnesses the unfolding of the war in my homeland, some choose to watch with one eye open and another closed.
My heart aches for EVERY harmed civilian. But what hurts more is living in a world that grants the right for self-defense to certain people, and denies it to others. Every occupied has the right to liberation, regardless of their color, ethnicity, or religion.
Please don't allow yourself to be brainwashed by the controled media. Ask your heart what would you do if you've been living under occupation and oppression for over 75 years? If the answer is "I would accept it and forfeit my dignity" then please unfollow me today!

After juicing lemons by hand for so long we finally found a great solution that doesn't compromise on our quality πβ
These 24 liters of pasteurized lemon juice from Sun Orchard Juicery will go into making our delicious Hummus π
I can't say that paying $191 for this doesn't hurt, but it definitely hurts less than squeezing those lemons every week π
Such a beautiful sight. Don't you think?! π

Way #2 of how to eat Hummus: In the Middle-East Friday is a weekend π΅πΈ And how do people start their weekends there? They start it with this match made in heaven: Hummus and Fool (fava bean dip) π The creamyness of the Hummus pairs so perfectly with the chunky Fool. And when you drown it with enough extra-virgin olive oil you know your weekend is starting on the right foot, or the right taste if I may say π
Have you had Fool before? Let us know in the comments how did you like it ππ»

Welcome to the new series of: Ways to Eat Hummus π΄
Every week we'll post about a different way to enjoy this versatile dip and get some creativity in the air.
Way #1 is Hummus with ground beef πThis is one of the most common meals in Palestine π΅πΈ
Growing up whenever Mom was in a rush and didn't know what to cook she'd quickly whip up one of these plates and call it a happy meal π Simply top some Olive Haven Hummus with ground beef, sprinkle some toasted pinenuts on top, veggies on the side, and warm a whole-wheat pita, and voilΓ‘ you got yourself an easy, filling, and nutritious meal π

Ramadan and entrepreneurship
As a Muslim entrepreneur it can be difficult to dedicate time and energy to my faith while running a business. Last year was a challenge. I was in the kitchen 6 days a week. And during my time off Iβd be off with Zaid buying groceries and supplies. Needless to say, my spirituality took a backseat π
By the grace of God, I made some changes and pivoted the business. I doubled down on dips, moved to a new location, and freed up a big chunk of my time.
Thankfully, this Ramadan I can dedicate my time to reconnecting with my faith βͺοΈ
Ramadan is an opportunity to reset, reevaluate, and recalibrate. This year I aim to quiet the noise, subdue the ego, and focus on the things that matter π
What is one thing youβve put on the backseat for sometime and want to reconnect withβ
