🤍 I wanted to re-introduce myself since I’ve gotten a few new followers 🤍 I’m Josie Lynch, R.Ac aka The Little Acupuncturist 🪻 If you’ve met me before, you know why I’ve chosen that name. I’m short but mighty, just like the tiny needles I use everyday in my treatments ✨ I am a recent graduate of a 3 year Acupuncture program located right here in Halifax! I often get asked how I chose acupuncture or how I knew I wanted to be an acupuncturist and the real answer is that I didn’t know. I chose Acupuncture on a whim when a friend had mentioned they were thinking about going to school for it. At the time I had just spent about a year working as a administrative assistant after dropping out of university and truthfully had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t even really know what acupuncture was and only had my first treatment after I had applied to go to school! But as they do, everything worked out and I am truly working in a career that I love and love to learn more about everyday. Who doesn’t want that? I have a love for treating things like hormone regulation (PMS, menopause, PCOS) as I experience this issue personally! I have PCOS and at one point wouldn’t get my period for 3 months 😮 While some might dread getting their period and would love not to have one, our menstrual cycle is a reflection of our overall health and has been called our fifth vital sign 🌹 With consistent acupuncture treatments, I was able to get my cycle down to 34 days! I love my job and I love seeing new and familiar faces on my treatment bed. There’s nothing better than when someone comes back for a 2nd treatment and cannot believe that acupuncture really helped them.
