Strawberry, the porcupine, has been hanging around the house the past couple of weeks, munching on the wild strawberry leaves. Thankfully, my pup is too scared to approach, but Strawberry seems very comfortable in front of the camera when given space. 🍓

I figured my feed could use a little break from the aurora. Hence this photo, titled: Dandelion Respite.

The bright colours at the beginning of the night were amazing. But when green made its solo appearance, the green glow that enveloped everything was so magical and serene. Watching the movement of the green ribbons was the highlight of my night! Plus green is my favourite colour.

Tonight was something else.

First couple of edits from an amazing portrait photography workshop led by some of Canada's greatest in the genre! I'm so lucky to have been able to attend. Thank you Dave Brosha Photography and Wayne Simpson Photography for an amazing four days of creativity!

I always try to incorporate off-camera flash in my portrait photography if I have the time with the subjects Having control over the quality of light and how it interacts with a subject is just so fun. I try my best to use lighting that compliments each subject and their story.

During a wildlife photography workshop run by the greats Dave Brosha Photography and Brittany Crossman Photography , we photographed a nesting site for great cormorants. Amazing birds - with eyes like the sea after a storm.

I spent a few days at a wildlife photography workshop run by the amazingly talented Dave Brosha Photography and Brittany Crossman Photography. During the workshop, we had a chance to photograph some red fox kits. I loved watching them play and learning the foxes' behaviour and personalities. Dare I say you might be seeing more wildlife images from me in the future?

I wasn't intentionally trying to photograph the aurora this night, but it ended up making an appearance in the first few frames of the evening! I'll take it.

Crazy weather we've been having lately, eh!
Luckily, I was just on the edge of the storm. No crazy fork lightning, but the sky still put on a show.
I hope everyone affected by the floods stays safe. Nova Scotia has been through a lot lately. We'll get through this, too.
