With IT’s flagship the C/S IT Intrepid having successfully completed trunk cable installations in support of ExxonMobil Guyana, IT are now busy mobilizing the DP2 Siem Dorado at our Halifax Cable Base on the east coast of Canada. Once equipped with IT’s specialized deep water cable handling equipment and sensors, the Dorado will conduct the in-field submarine fiber optic cable laying, multi-port subsea optical distribution frame installations, and ROV optical wet mate integration tasks. The Guyana Fiber Optic Cable Project (GFOCP) establishes critical underwater infrastructure that enables dedicated, high-speed/low-latency, fully expandable data transmission between ExxonMobil’s offshore facilities and onshore control centers. Integrity Departing Halifax
Busy week for IT International Telecom. IT Integrity departed our Halifax Marine Base bound for Honduras to conduct Marine Route Survey for our client, Bay Islands Telecommunication (BITEL). In Hudiksvall, Sweden we also loaded out 77km of cable for BITEL at the Hexatronic quayside. This cable will be installed between La Ceiba on the Honduran mainland and the island of Roatan later this year. #subsea #fiberoptic #telecommunications #ITIntegrity
