We are looking for adults at Dalhousie University who are interested in sustainable development to share their perspectives on what sustainable development means to them and what might be possible ideas that can enable our university community to embrace the future in a more sustainable way.

If you are 18 and over and are a member of the Dalhousie University community (student, staff, or faculty) we are keen to receive your response and encourage you to complete the survey as soon as possible. The Solar Butterfly is a global exhibit to inspire people worldwide with solutions to address Global Warming. This June, the Solar Butterfly team will come to campus with its travelling exhibit as its first stop in a North American tour.

The Green Labs program has the main goal of making laboratory spaces more sustainable by reducing energy & water consumption.
To achieve this goal students and staff should be aware of the impacts their labs are having.

Come explore the natural side of our Studley campus and learn how to use iNaturalist. iNaturalist is the largest community science platform in the world. We will explores ways you can use the platform to learn about biodiversity and you can help us document the diversity of life in Dal’s outdoor spaces.

Join us on Monday June 26th at 11:00am for our Pollinator Wall Planting Event! We will be transplanting a variety of beautiful native perennials that were selected to promote the presence of pollinators. Stop by to learn more about this project, participate in planting, and/or stay for an afternoon of pollinator fun!

Come explore the Dalhousie Art Gallery’s Indigenous Pollinator Garden and learn about the storytelling power of person-plant relationships. We will engage in an exercise tying together our natural environment with our social issues, and learn about steps forward we can only take with a holistic worldview.

Evan Lorant is a Settler originally from Vancouver, BC. He is entering his fourth and final year of a combined Honours in King’s Contemporary Studies Program and Dalhousie’s Sociology Program. As a lifelong plant person and outdoor enthusiast, Evan is excited to share time and love with others in the garden.

Come celebrate Summer by joining Herbalist Michele Graveline for a walk on Studley Campus, where we will be exploring some of the medicinal plants growing on campus. After, we will gather at the Indigenous Student Centre (ISC) for some herbal tea and more conversation about some of the local plants you can expect to find over the season🌱🌿🌳.

⏰Starting at the ISC at 12 noon until 1:30 pm.

Michele Graveline is a Master Herbalist with additional training in Clinical Herbalism. She has been following the green path for over 45 years.
