Check out this first vessel carrying wind turbine components for the Neweg Energy Project, which has arrived at the Port of Saint John. Another major milestone in our journey towards a more sustainable future!!! 🎉🌿🌍
We are thrilled to announce the official start of construction for the Neweg Energy Project in New Brunswick, Canada! This 25.2 MW project, developed in partnership with the Mi’gmaq United Investment Network and Natural Forces, will bring sustainable and efficient energy solutions to the Atlantic region.
On May 15, 2024, we held a traditional blessing of the land ceremony to mark this important milestone. Representatives from MUIN, Natural Force, Énergie NB Power , MTI, and Indigenous Services Canada | Services aux Autochtones Canada were in attendance to celebrate the beginning of construction for this groundbreaking project. The ceremony was a beautiful reminder of the interconnectedness between nature and humanity, and we are grateful for the wisdom and guidance of the Mi'gmaq elders, Elder Donna, Elder Marsha, and Elder Gordon.
As we embark on this new chapter, we are excited to work hand-in-hand with our partners to ensure that the Neweg Energy Project is not only a source of clean energy but also a source of pride and empowerment for all involved. Together, we can create a more sustainable future for generations to come.
On this Earth Day, Natural Forces teamed up with the Nova Scotia Nature Trust to combat the invasive glossy buckthorn plant. Our team had a great time today working with Nova Scotia Nature Trust to remove invasive species from a conservation site in the Gaspereau area. Together, we can make a positive impact on the environment for future generations. Let's continue to work together to preserve the beauty of our planet. 🌎💚🌿
The ribbon-cutting event for the new Tesla Megapacks battery storage took place on March 11, 2024, marking a significant milestone as it is the first time First Nations have been involved in such a project. This highlights the potential for Indigenous communities to have a significant role in the shift toward clean energy. The project is a partnership between Tobique First Nations Neqotkuk, Saint John Energy, and Natural Forces, located at the Somerset substation in New Brunswick. This makes New Brunswick the battery storage leader (2nd in Atlantic Canada) with a 6.95 MW capacity, operated by Saint John Energy since December. We would also like to thank Natural Resources Canada | Ressources naturelles Canada. Congratulations to all involved in making this project a reality!
The newly announced Neweg Energy Project is set to pave the way for a sustainable energy future in New Brunswick.
Natural Forces is enthusiastic about supporting the Mi’gmaq communities in the Neweg Energy Project. This partnership will result in wind turbines being interconnected to the New Brunswick grid, which will mean 36,830 tCO2e/year less carbon in the air. The Neweg Energy Project brings First Nations, government, utilities, and private enterprises together, which is the key to unlocking the road to decarbonization. By working together, we are making progress towards a cleaner future while locking in the low cost of renewable energy.
The Neweg Energy Project will feature six state-of-the-art turbines with a combined annual energy production of nearly 100 GWh. We are very excited about this significant progress and the beneficial effects it will have on our environment and local communities.

Natural Forces team came together for a day of team building and giving back to the community this fall! We volunteered at Hope Blooms, a local organization dedicated to empowering youth through gardening and entrepreneurship. 🌿The team spent the day helping out in their greenhouse, at the gardens and cleaning tea leaves. Our team got our hands dirty, learning about sustainable farming practices and the importance of local food production. 🌱
It was a fantastic reminder of the power of teamwork and how much we can achieve when we work together!
Thank you, Hope Blooms for allowing us to be part of your mission. We're grateful for the opportunity to give back and make a difference in the lives of these amazing young individuals. We can't wait to see the positive impact they'll continue to make in our community! 🌱🌻

Happy International Women's Day to all our amazing women out there! As women are gaining greater influence and playing a larger role in the economic world, they are bringing new and creative ideas and innovations to every business sector.
Only one in five leadership roles in the energy sector are held by women, according to the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report 2022. And that's after 14 years of consecutive year-on-year increases, according to gender gap data from the International Energy Agency (IEA). Empowering and increasing the representation of women in the energy sector is essential to the transformation to a clean energy economy.
At Natural Forces, we are seeing amazing women transforming the world for the better, and we are really proud to be a part of it! Have a wonderful day, ladies!
