Congratulations to Core Fusion Athlete Stefanie Hrymak!

OCAA Basketball Player of the Week:
Stefanie Hrymak, a graduate of Westdale Secondary School in Hamilton, has been named Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the seven day period ending Sunday February 9.

Hrymak, a first year Health, Wellness and Fitness student, scored 22 points while grabbing eight rebounds at Sheridan February 7. She also contributed four assists and two steals. Although Mohawk went on to lose the game 77-72, ending a seven game win streak, Hrymak's efforts, including a team leading 12.2 points-per-game average, have been key to the Mountaineers' late season turnaround. The team's record is 11-5 with two regular season games remaining.

Mohawk is peaking at the right time as it will play host to the OCAA Women's Basketball Championship February 27-March 1, at the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre.
