Bruce Samuel Morgante

Bruce passed away peacefully, in good hands, at the Juravinski E.R., on April 4, 2024, at the age of 81. He is survived by his brother, Jim (Beth); and step-daughter, Patti Cushenan and her sons, Bennett and Evan and three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents, Sam and Anne; brothers, David, Donald and spouse, Suzanne Chamberlain. Bruce was a long-time resident of Macassa Lodge and the efforts and dedication of the staff were greatly appreciated. He was a man of of many talents from butchering at Reardon's Meats to Stelco and teaching for many years at the H-WDSB. Flea markets were a passion and Bruce was a pet lover of both, cats and dogs. Cremation has taken place. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice.

**EDIT .. Jillian passed away on July 4, 2023, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Loving mother to Rayden, daughter of Peter and Donna Franzke, granddaughter to Lottie Franzke. Sister to Holly (John) and aunt to Abigail and Jake. Jillian will fondly be remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life to take place on September 24th at Hamilton Police Association from 1-4 pm.

February 28, 1981 - March 4, 2022

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joe at
the age of 41 on March 4th.
Joe is survived by his 6 year old son Mason, whom he loved dearly.
Joe is also survived by his mother Lori, sister Chandis (Mike), his two
nephews, his Aunt, his Uncle and many cousins. Joe was surrounded by many
friends who offered continuous support and love during his life, and for
that, his family is truly grateful.

Cremation and private arrangements have taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Good Shepherd Centre in
Joe’s memory.

On September 24, 2007, during a combat operation in Afghanistan, Corporal Morley left his own armoured vehicle to provide first aid to a critically wounded soldier until evacuation was possible. Under the threat of the enemy, he reacted courageously to ensure the survival of a comrade. 🌹

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear wife, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend Lydia. A fighter to the end, Lydia was finally set free from her battle with Muscular Dystrophy on Monday, August 16th at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. Beloved wife of 45 years to her husband and protector Robert, dear and loving sister to Philippe (Renata) Leroux, treasured sister-in-law to Debbie Nind, devoted and adored aunt to Jeffrey, Michelle, Hunter, Samantha, Sadie, Tyler and Hailey. Special cousin to Sandra Johnson, Tom Banting, Tom Jr., Elizabeth (God-daughter), Mike and Charlotte Banting-Spooner, Rebecca Banting, Chris, Ally, and Sean Chesney, Mandy and Steve Talenti, special friend, like a brother, Mauro DiFelice, doting mommy to her cherished cat Bandit. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Elaine Leroux, her sister Dianna Leroux, and her brother Andre Leroux. She will be missed by many other family members and dear friends. Lydia graduated from Scott Park Secondary School and went on to nursing school and became an RNA (now RPN). For many years, Lydia worked at Chedoke Continuing Care Hospital with devotion and a fierce commitment to the care and well-being of her patients. She worked until her muscular dystrophy forced her to go on long-term disability in 1998. She was a loyal friend, a loving sister, aunt and godmother, but mostly a dedicated wife and life partner. A special thank you to the Emergency, CTU North and ICU team at St. Joseph's Hospital and to the PSWs Chantelle, Flora, Nicole, Harp, Sarah and friends who helped support Lydia in her final years so that she was able to remain at home which was her wish. Due to Covid-19, all visitations and funerals are restricted to a specified number of attendees. All visitors will be required to wear a face covering, as well as provide name and telephone number to funeral home staff. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday August 20, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Private family Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Muscular Dystrophy Canada would be appreciated.
