Just a reminder in case you missed this on the website, in our newsletters or on the blog. We are closed next week so I can take a short break. I’m going to enjoy a few days on a cruise to the Bahamas.

We have a brand new display for Freia Minikins. These mini balls of fi*****ng weight yarn are 98m (107 yards) and are self striping. Both shawls on display were knit with Minikins. The balls will be on sale this Saturday in the store for 45% off and any balls still in the store will go on sale Wednesday at noon EST online (and in the store) for 40% off.

The shawl on the left is Passeggiata and the shawl on the right is Painting Waves.

This is the Snowflower KAL from designed by Martin Storey () and knit with Rowan Felted Tweed. I decided to switch up the colours. The original is beautiful but sometimes a store sample needs to be knit in a different colourway.

We are having a sale in the store on Saturday September 14th. We will be open from 8am - 4pm which should give everyone lots of time to get to the store. Please note that the sale is in the store so it will go rain or shine.

It’s time to say goodbye to some beautiful yarns. The store is feeling very full and I need to make room for the new fall yarns that have arrived and the new yarns still to come.

These yarns are amazing but it’s time for the yarn to made into something gorgeous.

I’m knitting away on Frame Your Face Cowl using Dream State and Primrose Yarns Roan. The pattern is easy to follow and truly an enjoyable knit. Will I get it done by the weekend? I’m trying.

This Saturday we will have Roan on sale in the store for 45% off. Then next Wednesday it will be available online for 40% off. You will need 2 skeins for the cowl. The yarn is amazing.

We’re getting ready for Black Friday.

Our Black Friday sale will start at 4pm EST on Thursday November 23rd and will run until 8pm EST on Monday November 27th.

There will be no in store shopping on Friday November 24th. We will be closed to pack orders and start shipping. The website will be available to place orders online.

The store will reopen Saturday November 25th at 9am and will be open until 4pm.

There is no free shipping during our Black Friday sale. Free shipping on Canadian order over $200 will resume Monday November 27th at 8pm EST.

The sale items will show up on the website under the Black Friday tab. Make sure you check back next Thursday at 4pm. There are some products showing now and we will be adding products until the sale time.

I want to thank everyone for their patience this past week. Thank you for your messages, emails and comments. I’m feeling much better and the store will be open on Wednesday at 11am.

This is my Alpine Bloom. I’m using Practically Perfect Sock from Emma’s Yarns with Spincycle Dyed in the Wool. I had some time to knit this past week. It’s a hard project to put down - you need to see the next colour.

We are going to be closed for a few days this week. I am off to Chicago for the H&H Show to see new yarns, books, bags and accessories for fall.

Orders placed before 4pm on Monday will be shipped before I leave.

If you need something before I go please send an email and we will try and arrange to meet you for a pick up on Monday or Tuesday.

The store is going to be closed for one day this week - Thursday. I need to have emergency dental work done - two crowns and they worked hard to squeeze my appointment in. I couldn’t get an appointment for a Monday or Tuesday.

From 9am - 9pm EST on Thursday you can use the code DENTIST when you check out and you will receive 10% off your order. This can be an order to be shipped or an order you are picking up.

We are looking forward to LYS Day on Saturday. The store will be open from 9am - 4pm.

The forecast was calling for rain on Saturday so we postponed the Outdoor Sale until Saturday May 27th. There will be a mini LYS Day on May 27th. The same discounts that we are giving this Saturday will be given on the 27th.

LYS Day is Saturday April 29th. Weather permitting we will be having an outdoor sale from 8am-11am before the store opens. We will have discontinued yarns, odd balls and yarns that we are clearing on sale for great prices. There could be knitting bags and some books as well.

I’m taking a short vacation and the store will be closed on Wednesday. I’ll be back on Thursday April 6th at 11am.
