Scare off phantom power this Halloween👻
Even when not in use, electronics can still account for up to 10% of your electrical bill! Set up timers or auto shut offs for your inflatables and use a power bar for easy shut off.

Stay ready for any power outage, by knowing what steps to take before, during and after an emergency🚨
Here is what you should do to prepare for a power outage🔌:
➡️BEFORE: Create an emergency kit for you and your family, keep devices charged at all times, choose heating units that are not dependent on other electronic devices, have your chimney cleaned every fall by a professional, and get to know your appliances electrical requirements.
➡️DURING: If you see a downed powerline, stay at least 10 meters back and call 911 + your local utility. Be sure to turn off all tools, appliances, and electronic equipment, as well as turn your heating down to a minimum, to prevent damage from a power surge. Do not open the fridge or freezer unless it is necessary. Monitor alerts from your local utility.
➡️AFTER: Wait for power restoration and report any other outages to your local utility. Inspect your appliances and electronics for damages (unplug them if not already to avoid damage during a power surge), assess the food in your refrigerator and restock your emergency kit.
With proper preparation, you can significantly reduce the effects of a power outage on you and your home.
