Nortrans: Our Journey to Net-Zero
Decarbonization. A looming, complex topic for a heavy-duty trucking company, but an essential topic nonetheless. In late November, Nortrans had the opportunity to partner with Peterbilt Pacific Inc. and test a Peterbilt 579 EV. We integrated the truck into our Lower Mainland fleet for the week and put it to work in a real-world, heavy-duty setting. The insight we gained was invaluable. Battery electric trucks are quickly evolving and are finding their place within supply chain decarbonization. While the path ahead is unchartered, Nortrans is committed to work with our customers and partners to lead the transportation industry towards a low-carbon future. We're encouraged by the speed of innovation around us and are excited by the future opportunities that come with an industry in transition. Most of all, we're hopeful. Hopeful that we're helping create a brighter future for the next generation. As you'll hear in the video, "we're giving back what we took, and we're not leaving a bunch of smoke in the mirror." Nortrans: Our Story
Wow, are we excited to finally share this. This summer, we partnered with a small video team and travelled around the Okanagan for two days to try and capture who we are, what we do, and why we do it. We wanted to bring to life what makes this place different. We wanted to share why we care so deeply about our partners. We're proud of our story here at Nortrans and all of the people who have been a part of it. We can't wait to see how the story continues. Thank you to the talented Nic Collar Film, our Nortrans team, and all of the people involved who helped make this project a reality.
