Ok, this is neat. Before quartz watches went mainstream in the late 1970's the most advanced watches in the world used a "tuning fork" movement. These literally have tiny tuning forks in them that vibrate 300 times per second (which is why the watch is labelled F300hz). What's really interesting is that you can actually hear the fork 'humming' if you hold the watch next to your ear.

The other interesting trivia bit is this: due to their high accuracy tuning fork movements were used in instrumentation aboard Apollo space missions! We are very excited to have one available:

Snapshot of work: this is what 177 carats of loose diamonds looks like. I now have to sort them by shape, size, color and clarity which will leave me completely cross-eyed. That will be a next week project because I am not caffeinated enough right now, LOL.

We are very excited to announce the launch of our 8th annual Diamond Earring Charity Fundraiser. Like previous years, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Kelowna Women's Shelter. Historically we've raised over $45,000 for this worthy cause.

The earrings this year feature 1.12 carats of diamonds (total) mounted in a 14K white gold halo setting. The centers are a dazzling VS/SI clarity and are far better than normal earring quality. They come with a Gemscan appraisal assessed at $7,900.
