It was delivery day in the Okanagan! We’ve done a restock at Pharmasave Airport Village in Kelowna and at Truck 59 in West Kelowna! Always grateful when doing these drop offs and always* blown away by the weekly sell-outs. Y’all are amazing.

I am hopping on a plane this evening for a quick trip to Nova Scotia and Ontario, so if you place an order, I won’t be back in my kitchen until August 15th to start baking! Okay friends, I’ve caved😂. So many people were asking about the Cookie Monster and Pistachio Cream cookies that I decided to open them up to everyone* for the next week! They’ve officially been added to the Limited Edition section on my website and from now (July 26th) until August 2nd, you can add these beauties to your cookie orders and bundles!🍪. Here’s their official rundown -

🩵Cookie Monster (8oz) is a vanilla buttery dough with mini dark chocolate chips, pieces of Oreo, and pieces of Chips A-hoy cookies with a white chocolate Oreo ganache centre.
💚Pistachio Cream (4oz) is a pistachio flavoured dough with pieces of pistachio and white chocolate chunks throughout.

This Sunday, you will find our gourmet stuffed cookies at the Abandoned Rail!

When I dropped the cookies off, there was not a seat to be found, and the view and space is incredible. Such a local gem, and feeling grateful to be able to partner with the AR crew!🤍🍪

Fun fact: Since adding the crown and jewels on the Peanut Butter Mania, she has sold out first in every market appearance, been apart of the line up in all wholesale orders, and is showing up as a staple in each customized order.

The release of a new limited edition round always gives me a little bit of nerves! Especially since the last round was so popular, it felt hard to top it,😅. Thankfully, y’all have been super excited about the new round!

This menu has ‘heading into the warmer months’ written all over it, and I’m so excited for you to try these new flavours! I think the S’mores cookie might* be my favourite flavour I’ve ever created yet!? (I also love*** s’mores so I’m casually biased😂).

Peanut butter packed dough.
Reese’s pieces.
Peanut butter chips.
Reese’s peanut butter cups.
Stuffed* with a peanut butter buckeye ball (basically liquid peanut butter when warmed up🤤).
And topped (!!) with a pool of milk chocolate, a few Reese’s pieces, and a crown (aka a mini peanut butter cup).

A few months ago the wonderful folks at Central reached out to me to see if I was interested in partnering with them for their Mother’s Day Brunch.

Naturally, the answer was a resounding YES. It felt like a full circle moment - When I moved to Kelowna back in 2015, Central was the first restaurant that I went to. I lived close by, and everyone was always raving about the ‘Mr.T’s’. It’s been a favourite spot of mine since I’ve been here, and now I can say that my signature cookies will be featured as the dessert for the Mother’s Day Brunch this Sunday!

Okay, hear me out -

I love making ‘fancy’ cookie flavours. I love trying to see what I can stuff into a cookie while ensuring the cookie is still baked properly, keeps it shape, and has that delicious surprise in the middle.
We love our stuffed cookie options! But…

I feel like the mark of a good baker is how well they can bake a classic cookie, and have it stand out from the rest?! Aka, how to create the classic chocolate chip cookie, but aim to create THE chocolate chip (chunk* in this case because chocolate chunks are just..divine?!) cookie.

Call me biased, but our chocolate chunk cookie is always a front runner at markets, and customers have casually called it ‘the best cookie they’ve ever ate’. How can we argue with that?!

Okay, here’s the thing.

I wanted to create a gluten free option for folks. I always felt terrible when people asked if I had a gluten free option, and there wasn’t one available! But*, I didn’t just want a regular cookie! You know at The Answer is Cookies, we are all about delicious options, and I wanted to give our GF friends a stuffed cookie they can indulge in!

I present to you…
A buttery vanilla dough.
Filled* with semi sweet dark chocolate chips.
Stuffed*** with a silky and irresistible dark chocolate ganache. Aka, when you warm this up, it’s literal heaven* when you break it apart.

This masterpiece took awhile. A lot of trial batches, a lot of variations made, and a lot of different ingredients tested. Gluten free friends, (and non GF folks, this cookie is just delicious all around) I hope you love her!🍪🍪🍪

I’m the kind of person who will say hello to your dog before you (sorry, I can’t help it), and being a dog mom is engrained in my identity. Therefore! I made up Oatmeal Carrot Cake Dog Cookies for last week’s market (because I heard Paws it Forward Dog Rescue was bringing some of the pups and I couldn’t resist). And listen…

I’m feeling like this cookie might need to be a staple at markets now?! My mission was always to provide the best tasting cookies to folks, and now I think that mission has officially expanded to dogs as well. I mean, LOOK at them!!!??🐾🤍😭.

Do we add this cookie as a staple to the market line up?! (And we all know if I have any left overs, Georgia will happily* take care of them😅🍪).

Okay, I feel like at each market, there is a cookie that wins the crowd over, and it’s not always the same cookie every market. But! The beloved 4oz Skor cookie is the cookie that is constantly popular.

She’s never the last picked.
She’s often being eaten as a mid-market shopping snack.
The kiddos love it.
The adults are nostalgic to it.
And those with more sensitive palettes don’t consider it ‘too sweet’.
And she’s the cookie that my taste testers always want more of, but there’s never any left,😅.

The market is 11-3 today! Today we have gluten free (!!!!) classic and stuffed cookies, and dog treats (and all the other delicious offerings of course).

Quick story while I sit on my deck and cry a bit because my sister just hit the road back to Vancouver Island -

This is Manda. She’s one of my big sisters, and one of the most important people in my life. She’s also the person who has never given me anything but 100% support and is the actual* talented baker of the family if you ask me. She’s also one of the people who gives me feedback on my menu ideas, graphic choices, cookie brainstorms and all the rest. She’s also the person who I text at 10:30pm when I’ve had a full day and I’m testing out a lemon curd recipe and it’s not working and I feel like I’m going to have a full blown meltdown and she talks me through how I can fix it (see, she’s the real baker). She’s the one who will randomly text me and say - “Hey, what about this idea?!”, or be one of the first people who submits an order when I have a new flavour to try. She’s the one who will drive from the Island so she can help me with a market day, and do the dishes 10 times in 2 hours while I’m baking. She’s the one who I’ll text when I’m questioning myself, when a market hasn’t gone well and I’m hard on myself, or be the person who tells me to “just shake it off” when I’m ticked at a comment someone has made and my feelings are hurt (lol, hello I’m sensitive). She’s the VIP that people don’t see, but hands down - I couldn’t do this business without her.

And now she’s travelling back home, and I’m sad so this post is just encouraging more tears, lolol. But also, she deserves the spotlight because she’s one of the best people I know, and I’m lucky enough to call her my sister.

And The Answer is Cookies may not be a thing if it wasn’t for her (and a few others who are forever in my corner), so let’s all just be grateful for her?!🫶🏻
