Yesterday, Paige from .ca and I went and spoke to students at Massage Therapy School here in Kelowna on mental wellness and trauma-Informed care.

Paige is a former psych nurse turned clinical counsellor who does comedy on the side. And she loves working with trauma exposed professionals.

I’m a trauma educator & coach who bridges the gap between therapy and coaching while also offering supportive energetic healing.

Paige loves working with trauma-exposed professionals and how they can better support themselves, I love teaching harm reduction for the patients and clients. We kinda make a great team here and yesterday was our first go at it.

It was engaging, interactive and inspiring to witness these professionals eyes light up over how they could establish deeper connections with clients and themselves through informed practices.

Our mental health IS our physical health and vice versa. As practitioners we owe it to ourselves and our clients to be able to learn how to self-advocate for harm reduction and respond with compassionate curiosity.

It is my whole hearted belief that if we can provide RELATABLE and sustainable trauma-informed education, we can quite literally change the world and how we treat ourselves and one another.

One person, class, institution, family, community at a time … we can and will change the world.
