We are pleased to announce that we have entered the commercial testing phase of the AlbaNova project, currently putting over 1 MWh of battery storage to the test for a variety of applications ranging from ancillary services such as frequency regulation, to demand peak mitigation and renewable energy integration!

The two 'StorHubs' (lithium ferro phosphate, or LFP, energy storage systems) have been installed in Berwick, which can deliver 475 kW to support the town owned Berwick Electric Commission. Although their total capacity of 1,084 kWh could meet the needs of an average Nova Scotian home for about 45 days, they'll be used for commercial purposes and to help share Berwick's future electrical grid.⁣

The commercial 'StorHubs' from StorTera have arrived in Nova Scotia and will offer useful field experience that will be applied to the advancement of a cleaner, more flexible, reliable and modern energy grid in Berwick and beyond.

Site preparations are now complete at the Town of Berwick Town Hall and Kings Mutual Century Centre and systems are soon to be installed!

EQUILIBRIUM ENGINEERING (EQE)

Equilibrium Engineering is a multidisciplinary engineering firm that specializes in the audit and design of energy efficient buildings and their associated electrical/mechanical systems. Operating both nationally and internationally, our experienced team of engineers and technicians are focused on changing the way society views and consumes resources. Through incremental analysis, Equilibrium provides our clients with the facts needed to make tough investment decisions.

Our focus as a firm is to identify operational waste in building systems and provide high-performance alternatives that minimize operating costs. Through the application of life-cycle cost analysis and whole building energy modelling, Equilibrium provides our clients with insight into the true cost of ownership. Equilibrium collaborates to identify specific needs and develop long-term sustainable solutions that are fiscally and environmentally responsible.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

- Business Administration degree from a University or recognized College.

Experience and Soft Skills

- 3-5+ years of experience in a successful business environment
- 3-5+ years of Small Medium Enterprise (SME) bookkeeping experience
- Proficient in the use of computers
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Trustworthy, able to maintain strict confidentiality
- Well organized and able to work in a team environment.

PURPOSE OF JOB

- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties
- Manage company cash-flow forecast
- Manage client relationships
- Identify possible solutions for Equilibrium clients
- To deliver World Class service.



SUMMARY OF DUTIES

- Entries into the bookkeeping system
- Produce reports for management
- Work with management to complete billing period reviews
- Manage Accounts Receivable
- Manage Accounts Payable
- Manage client contract invoicing
- Provide administrative support to staff
- Answer incoming client phone calls
- Manage banking
- Type check/proofreading written reports
- Be an excellent person
- Other related duties.
