Momentum Campus Ministries
Momentum Campus Ministries is a campus ministry organization serving universities and colleges in the wider Kingston area and across Ontario.
We are an incredible community where people experience Jesus and His transformation.
Merry Christmas from Momentum Campus Ministries!
Let us rejoice today (and everyday) for our wonderful savour is here!
Such a great semester of running The Well small groups and worship for the young adults of Kingston!
Our goal for The Well is to provide mid-week refreshment to not only the Queens Geneva House students but to provide this space to meet for ALL the young adults to this central meeting hub in Kingston. We want to welcome all, whether you are from Queens, SLC, RMC or a young professional! We have a place for you here.
We are so thankful for the community that was formed this semester and look forward to many more weeks next year:)
One of the joys of campus ministry is watching our students achieve what they set out to do and graduate! Though it’s hard to say goodbye to the many students who leave our community, we often have the opportunity to continue ministering to students who stay at our campuses for graduate studies or decide to settle locally for post-graduation work.
Check out our latest blog, written by one of our 2018-2022 grad ministry leaders, on the importance of ministering to local grad students and young professionals!

Starting a campus ministry from scratch is a difficult task! Before launching your latest dream to create a flourishing campus ministry at your local university or college, there are a few things to consider.
Check out the Momentum team's latest blog on the essential steps that will help launch a successful campus ministry that meets the needs of local students.

Engaging our communities is an important part of campus ministry. And connecting students with a local church during their studies is an important part of welcoming students into our communities.
Those of us who are local have a unique opportunity to engage with students in an intentional and valuable way. Our team member Wanda Thompson, the lead of our ministry at Loyalist College in Belleville, exemplifies this intentionality.
Click the link to check out our interview with Wanda and learn more about how to connect students to your community today.

The great thing about campus ministry is that so many others have been here before us! Which means that there are so many tools and resources for doing ministry well and addressing our students’ unique needs, questions, and areas of growth.
To help your team build your resource library, we’ve pooled our favourite studies, books, podcasts, and more to equip your team for campus ministry!
Check out our latest blog to learn more about our favourite resources!

Introducing Beyond: Youth Investment We're excited to announce the launch of Beyond: Youth Investment, our 6-week course on Generation Z!
A couple weeks ago our Kingston Momentum team had the opportunity to host the 2022 conference for the Christian Reformed Campus Ministry Association (CRCMA)—and it was AMAZING! 😃
Campus ministry leaders from across Canada and the United States gathered together to share, learn, and teach one another about living Scripture on our campuses. We made new friends, connected with old, and celebrated our year in campus ministry together.
Community is so important in all our fields of work. Community is where we experience refining through relationship with God and with others. Where is God refining you in your leadership and work today?
This month we sat down with Geneva House leader Joel Seigel to talk about Queen's Fitness Fellowship, a growing ministry of sport in Kingston!
Check out our blog about QFF's impact and how sport can reflect and impact our faith.

Another Momentum blog! For those of you familiar with what we do in campus ministry, Huddles are a no brainer! But some of you may not know what we do and how we do it. Check out this blog to learn about the heart of our small group ministry.
If you're a campus leader and want to know more about developing small group programs at your campus, please don't hesitate to reach out! Our team would love to connect with you. :)
We'd also love to provide you with some free resources for kickstarting Huddles at your campus today! Visit our website to learn more.
Huddles Are Our Heartbeat—But What on Earth is a Huddle? Everyone needs somewhere to belong. That’s especially true for university and college students. Whether you’ve simply moved out of mom and dad’s into your own apartment in the same city or if you’re an ocean away from home during your studies, finding community is one of the most important (...
We're just reminiscing on our ✨amazing✨ banquet from a couple weeks ago where we got to celebrate our incredible leaders and graduating students!
We couldn't do ministry without you all! We have been so blessed by your leadership on our campuses.
Good luck to all our students writing exams right now and congratulations again to all our graduates!
What an INCREDIBLE year! God has been so good to us this year and we saw our Kingston ministries flourish in so many new ways. From weekly refreshment at The Well to social events, new friends, and spiritual growth, God did it all this year!
Students, thank you for being a part of our Momentum community! Community partners, thank you for supporting us as we lead and serve!
Calling all student writers!
We are looking for some students who love to write and want to share about their positive and transformative experiences at Geneva House (or any other ministry of Momentum Campus Ministries) on the newly launched Momentum blog!
We will provide some guidelines and suggestions, but mostly we'd just love to feature some genuine experiences and stories from the student perspective!
If you would like to know more or if you would like to write a blog post for us, you can message us for more information.

Courses | genevahouse Anxiety is inescapable in today’s world. When stress overpowers us and fear infects our minds, it can feel like the peace the Bible talks about is impossible to find. And no amount of pretending, overworking, or isolating ourselves will offer us the peace we need.

Have you ever wondered what Jesus meant when he said to "Love the Lord your God with all your mind" (and your soul, heart, and strength)? Eric Bateman has given the Christian faith and the life of the intellect some reflection and he's going to share his wisdom with us.
Eric is a PhD candidate in medieval history at Queen's University. He is kept sane by his wife Ashley and their three children, and tries to keep his hobbies as nerdy as possible. He enjoys reading fiction, playing chess, hiking, and good conversation.
Our FINAL Geneva Live of the year is this upcoming Tuesday, Apr. 6th at 8pm!

Students, maybe you're trying to sort out some disagreements among your roommates that are growing heated. Or trying to stop spats with your girlfriend/boyfriend via text. Or maybe there's that really tough conversation you know you need to have but it makes your heart beat really fast.
Rev. Heidi De Jonge is pastor of Westside Fellowship in Kingston, ON. She recently finished doctoral work on the area of conflict in the church and believes that God will often give us conflict as a gift to grow our relationships.
Pastor Heidi is going to help us all grow more Jesus-like as roommates, friends, and neighbours.
