If we have your email address you have or will be getting an email invitation to create a Pomelo account. This is legit and not a scam as some may think
Pomelo has gone live! We are getting reports that reminder calls and emails are going out. Please be aware that if your reminder goes to voicemail you cannot press 1 to confirm at that point. You can only do that if you answer the actual call.
Pomelo is being implemented at our clinic starting later this week! Patients should start getting appointment reminders via email or automated voice calls if we do not have your email address.
If you would like to register for a Pomelo account so that we can send secure messages to you, please email the clinic with your email address as well as a list of everyone to whom that email applies to [email protected]
The office will be closing at 2 this afternoon reopening on Tuesday July 3rd.
Please Note
Masking is still required in all medical facilities including ours.
We do ask at this time that you please wear your own mask as we are no longer being provided with masks to hand out. If you do not have access to a mask however let us know so that we can provide one for your use.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Please note that the office is closed from

Kingston Family Health Centre is a NS Health-partnered clinic, serving a vulnerable patient population, many of whom are at risk from respiratory viruses. As a result MASKING IS STILL REQUIRED INSIDE OUR FACILITY AT ALL TIMES despite the lifting of the mask mandate in lower risk locations in Nova Scotia. Harassment of our staff in any form over this issue will not be tolerated! Thank you all for your continued cooperation.
Due to the deteriorating weather conditions the office will be closing at noon today.
Dr. Amanda Smith will be holding a drop in Flu Shot Clinic on Friday October 29th between 11:00 & 1:30. This will be open to the public as well as her patients. Health cards will be required if you are not a patient at this office.
The office will be closed Thursday September 30th
PLEASE NOTE
We will no longer be doing phone screening the day before your appointment. We would ask patients to please do the following self screening prior to attending your booked appointment. We will also ask you to do the same at the door before entering the office. We would ask that you please be compliant and understanding as many of our patients are immunocompromised and we need to take every precaution for the safety of all our patients as well as our health care providers.
Masks will continue to be mandatory for everyone entering our facility even after the province enters Phase 5.
Please be kind. We are here to help.
Every day, Nova Scotia Health team members work to support patients and families. This includes providing care and services, working to keep our patients, teams and facilities safe, responding to many questions regarding COVID-19 or other important health matters, and so much more.
We are here to help Nova Scotians navigate through these uncertain times. And we are doing our very best to help those who need us, to respond quickly with clear answers to your questions, and to point you in the right direction.
We get it. After a long year dealing with COVID-19, the people of Nova Scotia are tired, frustrated and often scared. Our teams are experiencing this range of emotions too -- along with new responsibilities, increased demands and the daily realities of pandemic life.
We are all in this together, but we are aware of too many situations where our staff have been subjected to abusive behavior and language, including personal threats. This is not acceptable.
Our people are the backbone of Nova Scotia Health. They are at the heart of all that we do and we care about their wellbeing. We need a healthy workforce to care for Nova Scotians and tackle this pandemic head on. So we must protect and uphold their right to a safe and healthy workplace.
Please be kind and know that we are here to help, but will not respond to behaviours or messages that cross the line into disrespect and/or abuse.
