When it comes to orthodontic treatment, age is never a factor! Using clear braces and nearly invisible aligners, adult patients are able to straighten their teeth more discreetly. Straight teeth and proper bite relationships make it easier to maintain healthy teeth for the rest of your life. New patients are always welcome and referrals from your dentist are not necessary..... If you would like to know more, please talk to us!! š
Braces arenāt just for pre-teens/teens! About 25% of the population that wears braces are actually people over the age of 18. Now you know!
A beautiful smile is only one of the perks of having straight teeth. Improved oral health and increased self-confidence are key benefits of orthodontics.
The word āOrthoā means straight or correct, and āDontā means tooth. Put it together and āorthodonticsā literally means straight teeth!
Only a professional orthodontist can help common oral problems such as teeth crowding before they turn into oral complications. Crooked and crowded teeth are hard to clean; this can contribute to conditions such as tooth decay, gum disease and tooth loss.

Any time you are concerned about how your child's teeth are developing, or how their bite is fitting together, you should seek an orthodontist's opinion. It is recommended that your child be seen by an orthodontic specialist by age 9. By this time, there should be enough permanent teeth to determine whether a problem with their bite is developing.
New patients are always welcome at Smith Family Orthodontics, and no dental referral is required. If you would like to know more, please talk to us :)
