Aerial and Handspring Workshops
Date/Time: Sunday, June 23rd
Location: Kingston Danceforce Studios 683 Innovation Drive Unit 4

Cost: FREE to current Danceforce Dancers
others $20/workshop or $30 for both

Front & Side Aerial workshop (ages 6+) 9:00-11:30 am
*prerequisite = strong single-handed cartwheel on both sides/both arms, hurdle cartwheel, dive cartwheel, strong unassisted front walkover on both sides for front aerials.

NOTE: Dancers may still attend the aerial workshop without the front walkover prerequisite. These dancers will only be working on side aerials.

Handspring Workshop (ages 8+) 12:00-1:30 pm
*prerequisite = 3-point bridge hold both legs, strong front limber, double leg bridge kick up, unassisted strong back walkover both sides, unassisted strong front walkover both sides.

Dancers may be asked to demonstrate pre-requisite skills before acceptance into either workshop.

Workshops will include:
*warm-up
*Stretch
*strength training drills targeting the specific muscle groups involved in executing each skill
*exercises focusing on body movement and correct positioning throughout the skill
*tandem spotting (2 instructors at a time)
*use of equipment to assist momentum and safe landing

Urgent Hip-Hop Class Cancellation.

Good morning KDF families,

We apologize for the last minute post. All Hip Hop Classes are CANCELLED today Saturday, April 13th.

One of our instructors has become ill, and as all of our regular supply teachers are away at competition this weekend, we are unable to find a sub in time.

A makeup lesson will be scheduled prior to our recital in June.
