"I cringe when my kids eat too much sugar and processed food. But now that they're getting a bit older, I see them getting a bit rigid with their diet. How can I help them strike a balance between eating healthy and being excessively focused on clean eating? I feel like I've created monsters."
Moms, we hear you! Navigating the delicate balance between healthy eating and fostering a positive relationship with food can be challenging. That's why we dedicated an entire podcast episode, together with our guest expert, Dr. Jillian Murphy of , to address this very issue. 🌱🍎💚

I’ve been going through a BIG shift in my own approach to health and the work that I do and I’m about to FILL you in.
Grab a cuppa, because we’re about to get real.
Over the past few years, I have noticed an influx of people covering intuitive eating and HAES, which I am ALL for. It’s important and still infused into all my work, however –
there is this whole other beautiful, vivacious end of the spectrum I have been integrating into my life that I’m so ready to make front and center in yours too!
It’s called Healthy-ish and I am officially stepping up to the plate to change the heavy conversation around health and introduce a *new* truly holistic approach. Yup, we’re shouting a big f*uck it to all the rules.
Why?
Because even with all the progress we have made about ditching diet culture messaging and nasty external expectations, we are still here – still struggling with all the bs, feeling bad in our bodies and having no idea what to try next. This is bcz:
1️⃣The conversation on taking care of yourself is still divisive, polarizing, and very do-it-my-way-or-else
2️⃣It’s hyper-focused on food and movement, yet we still don’t feel good
How is this even possible?!
I’m going deeper. I’m looking beyond the boring basics. Healthy-ish is about finding your magic formula for behaviors, practices, thought processes, and ways to invite beauty back into your life and your vitality – aka this endless supply of energy, motivation, and inspiration that has you dancing through life like a true Rockette.
We’re creating behaviors that stick. That helps us feel good in the bodies we are in. That allows for play, fun, and excitement.
So if you’re over highly predictable and completely ineffective health plans and you want to hear more of my Healthy-ish truths – tune into the 100% Healthy-ish podcast on Apple, and Spotify.
🎙New eps drop weekly!
When someone tells me they’re going to start “eating healthy” I almost always feel a constriction in my chest. The weight of their planned restriction, over-thinking, exhausting and BORING effort, crushing my chest bone. Ick.
But if someone were to tell me they’re about to start eating abundantly 😏… dunno about you but I feel excited. I need to know – what are you going to eat? How do I get somma dat abundant foodz?!
The reality is these two people could be eating the exact same thing. It’s just that the word healthy has been so tangled up with restriction, rules, and ZERO fun.
This is where my definition of Healthy-ish comes into play.
Healthy-ish is about finding a way of eating that balances out your needs for nutrients and boundaries and your needs for ease, satiation, and fun.
For me, it’s all about foods that make me feel luxurious – French baguettes, fresh ripe grapes, aged Irish cheddar, roast chicken, Belgian chocolate, olives, green juice, a jam-filled donut…
Nutritious. Abundant. Divine.
Following that desire for beauty and abundance has led me to my Healthy-ish place.
What about you? Have you tapped into your middle point?
If you’ve been brainwashed to see food as good, bad, clean, or dirty, and still feel the weight of the shame and guilt that these labels instill, know that Healthy-ish exists and it’s a good place to start.
I’m going to be releasing more ways to help you tap into your own version of 100% Healthy-ish in 2023 but in the meantime – download my Holiday Healthy-ish Starter Guide at the link in my bio to get started!
It’s filled with magical ways to connect to this new formula for living, loving, and embracing JOY.
Plus, I share some of my simple and delicious dinners to get you through the week, and vibey foods to serve up when the guests arrive.
✨I may also be sharing my world-famous Brie recipe that I stole from my BFF. It’s so flipping good you’ll want to lick the plate.
Snag it quick at the ! Enjoy!
Your guide for the most luxurious and MF FUN way to feel good this holiday season is here.
Pop the freaking confetti cannon because it’s time to get this party started!
As someone who’s been working in the health field for 16+ years, I can tell you with 100% certainty, the holidays are a bit of a mind f*ck. On one hand, we can’t wait for all the festive-y fun get-togethers, and weekends spent lounging around, but on the other hand, we’re terrified we’ll be eating more rich and indulgent foods and won’t fit into our 👖 after a few nanaimo bars and glasses of eggnog.
This is the last holiday you’re going to let diet culture get in the way of social outings, cultural traditions, and moments of magic.
✨Enter The Healthy-ish Starter Guide: Holiday Edition.
But first, you may be thinking “wtf is Healthy-ish”?
Healthy-ish is my magic formula for feeling good in my body and having fun. It’s a dreamy space of flexible, pleasurable, and completely customized energy-boosting practices.
It goes beyond the basic b “health and wellness” tactics and messaging we’ve been made to believe. I’m sure you know the ones, they’re one-sided, divisive AF, and hyper-focused on almond counting.
I’ve seen every angle and outcome of this approach after years of clinical & coaching and experience, and I can honestly say it just doesn’t work.
We’re moving beyond the basics and considering some ‘ish’ 😉 you’ve never even thought about when it comes to your health.
So lemme ask you – are you tired of choosing between feeling good and having fun?
Are you ready to do what your body needs, without the rules and judgments of others?
Are you ready to embrace rhythm, routine, spontaneity, fun, and all of the things that light YOU up?
Then it’s time you find your own Healthy-ish magic formula! The beauty is that yours will look nothing like mine, but to get you started I’ve created a 20-page-print-out-worthy guide to offer up what I’ll be focusing on to make me feel sparkly and alive this holiday.
Your next steps:

Keep what energizes and feels good, ditch the rest!
🎉You ready?
Twenty-two-years-ago-Jill would be freaking out right now. Not even December 1st and she was likely making herself sick wondering how many 10Ks she’d have to get in to balance out the forthcoming Christmas 🥂 & 🍪.
The mind’s a scary place when you’re fixated on controlling every aspect of your body, overriding hunger, and micro-managing every freaking food choice. Coffee creamer? Good heavens, no.
👋Hi, my name is Dr. Jill Murphy and I want you to finally be able to move through this season (+ your life) without guilt or shame. But I know how hard it can be…
If you’re new around here, let me bring you up to speed:
At 19 I moved to Paris, and then London, and spent the year drinking Foster’s on the tube, and gobbling ginger nuts. Was it fun? Hell ya. But I quickly realized I wanted to feel better in my body – and my 👖
When I returned home I dove deep into naturopathy, became addicted to running, and transformed into a full-fledged clean eater who wouldn’t be caught dead eating refined sugars.
Fast forward to today – I’ve lost weight, gained weight, dieted, dieted but called it healthy eating, detoxed, went paleo/gluten-free/vegetarian, found therapy, became a naturopath and health coach, and did so much inner work that I can say that I’m finally free from the sparkle sucking rules of diet and wellness culture and have discovered my own version of health!
Has it been a long road? Yup.
But it’s allowed me to dedicate my entire life to helping others fall truly, madly, deeply in love with their lives and access their own magic formula for a joy-filled, no-more-counting-almonds-kinda lifestyle!
I call this formula Healthy-ish and it’s my mission to completely blow up the conversation around health so you can say f^&ck it to all the rules you’ve been told and start writing your own health story.
Because you can love fries and broccoli sprouts, move for fun (not to cancel out a wee bit of 🎂🍕🍷), like the way you look in jeans, and create a space that brings you joy!
Bottom line. I’m tired of choosing between feeling good and having fun and I bet you are too.
Now that we got that out of the way, I’m happy you're here. Tell me something about YOU⬇️
Big, huge, arms wide open welcome to Dacy Gillespie of !!! Today we're chatting about all things clothes, style, and why it's so damn hard to feel okay about how your body looks in clothing. WHY?!?!
In this episode:
• the thing you HAVE to do before you can begin to feel good in your clothes
• finding your style NOW
• reconnecting with PLAY
• asking the question: is it really great style? Or just thinness?
• an exercise that'll help you release harsh judgement and figure out if you like the clothes on your body
• What's the LEAST you can do and still get the benefit?
• The take-out food that's 100% part of Dacy's healthy-ish plan

Did you tune in?!
Episode one of the 100% Healthy-ish Podcast (formerly The Food Freedom/Body Love podcast is livvvvvvvve!
And I’m dishing the dirt on what I feel has been missing in our current approach to food, health, and bodies… and how Healthy-ish is gonna solve the problem!!
Today on the podcast I’m talking about ‘squash’ing restriction with a half pasta idea.
🤣
A simple concept that lens itself to a much bigger conversation and will hopefully start to shake up your own ideas about what’s right for you. It’s also a conversation about how feelings of restriction can stay hiding in specific foods… And how to work your way out of it. ❤️
Link in stories!
I’m pulling together an e-book on intentional intuitive eating… A guide to all of my best tips and tricks for caring about how your body feels (if that’s your thing!) and putting intention and energy into your food choices while remaining intuitive.
Intention has always been part of intuitive eating (the gentle nutrition part:) but the ability to be intentional tends to come much later in the Intuitive Eating process and it’s an area where many of the people I work with feel like they’re lacking direction and clarity. So let’s get into it!
What do you want to know??
Summer (so far) of food and body joy round up in my stories!! ⬆️
And I want to hear yours!! Drop me a dm or tag me in your and !!! I wanna know!
Just read this in a newsletter from - and it summarizes everything I teach in the Juicy Body Blueprint so beautifully… I had to share. ❤️
I hope you are out there finding some food and body joy this long weekend!
I, admittedly, I’m writing to you from the seventh circle of renovation hell Dash where I’m working most of the weekend and scrambling to get our house ready for guests… But I took 10 minutes to make myself a gorgeous iced coffee, to catch up on emails, and to rearrange the to do list so we can get out for some fun this evening. And that’s good enough for me today!! 😂🥰😘
Summer.
Peak social eating and nourishment.
Yes, micro and macro nutrients matter… but have you considered how social eating nourishes you? The value of connection to those you love, to culture, and tradition via food?
Nourishment comes in many forms.
Don’t you forget it!! ❤️🥰😘
End of the week check-in. Today was heavy. It’s not going to get easier any time soon. Take care bbs.

Let’s find news ways to deal with body discomfort. Ways that ADD to your life instead of continuing to keep you stuck, sucking you dry. ❤️❤️❤️
That post-dance class glow.💫
Joyful movement is one of the 5 key elements in my Juicy Body Blueprint. What are yours??
❓❓❓
Not sure? Now’s the time to find out. In addition to the 12 key lessons that are the core of the program, over the summer will be crafting a summer wardrobe that feels 🥰✨👌🏻💃🏻
And exploring what it means to feel sexy (eek! More on that in my newsletter tomorrow).
I’ll also be rolling out, and you’ll have first access to, a few gnu incredible guides including:
The 5 keys to healthy intentional intuitive eating
and
Mapping your Juicy Body Blueprint
On top of that, if you join by the end of the day on Saturday I’m gifting you two 1:1 sessions with me.
if this work is screaming out to you, check out the link in my bio for more information.🎉🎉🎉
I’m definitely not minimizing or ignoring the possibility of physiological issues causing fatigue.
I recommend that anyone experiencing fatigue chats with their doctor or naturopath and get some bloodwork done to rule out common things like iron deficiency and thyroid issues…
But beyond that I want you to consider how draining it is to be in a constant battle with food and your body.
Whether you are trying to manipulate your weight or make your food ‘perfect’, this struggle can feel like carrying a boulder around on your back every day.
Just think what might be possible if you could set the boulder down?!
From now until Saturday, if you join the Juicy Body Blueprint you get TWO bonus one on one sessions with me to strategically map out the best way to eat, move, dress, pursue Health, and more - to feel your best without the fight.
I was scrolling through Facebook over the weekend, trying to leave witty happy birthday messages that'd beat all the other birthday messages, when I noticed that my home feed was reading like a doomsday roster.
"What else is new?" I know you're wondering, with an audible eye roll - as news of yet another mass shooting hit our media feeds late Tuesday night...
But this felt weirdly different and deeply personal. So many people in my life are experiencing excruciating loss. Loved ones are ill, passing away, suffering through intolerable circumstance...
It brought the suffering that's happening "out there" - suffering that I occasionally (admitted with much embarrassment and shame but also in the name of self-preservation) dip in and out of - to my front doorstep, in a big way.
Maybe it's the state of the world or my recent travels or rising interest rates and/or the occasional dabble in the microdosing of psilocybin (for mood and energy - more on that another day) but I've been thinking a lot about how I want to be remembered.
Or, more correctly how I DO NOT want to be remembered. (You see I, like a toddler, am much more adept at finding clarity in my NO than I am at finding words for big yesses).
I've been thinking about how I don't want to be remembered as a workaholic. A relatively happy but perpetually stressed out, gossipy, complain-y kinda person: too busy, unendingly tired, with never enough time or money, shoving a body I'm at war with into jeans that don't quite fit, as a roll through another day of to-dos that I feel low-key resentful about.
I don't want to be remembered for ignoring what I need, for shoving down my feelings in order to appease others, sweaty and flustered, over-giving until I have nothing left.
I mean, it'd make for a great tombstone:
Once a martyr, always a martyr!
but it doesn't make for a great life.
As a write this I realize that the best way to frame how I'd like to be remembered, is through the eyes of my children.
I'd want them to say:
LINK IN MY BIO FOR THE REST:)
The messy middle is tough. It often feels all wrong - like you’re doing it wrong, on the wrong track, never gonna get it. It’s normal to want to escape. To manage the discomfort via restriction… but it doesn’t take long before you find yourself in a whole new kind of discomfort.
You know what’ll make it all easier? Support!!
Link in my bio.
Fighting good day in and day out is not ‘normal’.
The moment you allow the full range of eating experience = the moment you begin to find food freedom.
Live Q&A tomorrow right here, at 1pm EST!!
I’ll be responding to all the questions I have already on intuitive eating, body image, clothes, kids and travel…
And feel free to add any other food or body related questions to the comments below or in my stories!
Can’t wait to reconnect! It’s been a tough adjustment to regular routines this week but I think I’m getting there ;-)
Gonna do a travel, food, body, clothes, pics, etc Q&A early next week (or maybe even this weekend if the jet lags not too bad!).
Drop your Qs here or in my stories and I’ll be sure to answer! I’m also going to give some info about my AMAZING juicy body blueprint program (link in bio) and other details (like: travelling with kids, pulling them from school, photo filters, and what’s next!)
Be sure to drop your Qs and I’ll announce the Q&A date and time when we’re back on Canadian soil. 😍😍😍
How do you avoid engaging in harmful ideas that keep you (and those around you) fighting food and your body?
Take the time to learn about how diet culture has influenced and affected your views on everything from your definition of ‘healthy’ eating, to what’s attractive/stylish, to what a ‘normal’ body should look like and the kind of effort you should be putting in to health and beauty.
Sort it out!
Untangle, challenge, think critically, deprogram, re-learn, expand, redefine… AND THEN, you’ll be able to more clearly decide what you like, what’s important to you, and what’s working for you…
VS
what you’ve been told SHOULD work for you.
taking .grace.seol’s biz advice and applying it to food and body image… cuz when it’s true, it’s true.
