Just like last year, we are holding another bowl-a-thon here at Amaranth!
if YOU ARE AN EXPERIENCED POTTER in the Kingston area, this might interest you!

Here are some details:

It’s that time of the year again - we are going to be making and donating bowls to the SFCSC (Southern Frontenac Community Services Corporation) for RURAL VISIONS / Vision Soup - and we would love for some local and experienced potters to participate.

We'll be making and donating bowls to an event is held in Sydenham titled VISION SOUP, which is being held later in November, and it consists of community members paying a set donation fee and choosing from an assortment of hundreds of hand made ceramic bowls, with however many we make and donate up for grabs. All of the proceeds from this event goes towards fighting food insecurity in our communities.

Making the bowls; DATE DETAILS:

Location: Amaranth Stoneware, 745 Development Drive, Kingston

-Thursday, October 31st, to throw
-Tuesday, November 5th, to trim
-Wednesday, November 13th, to glaze

11am - 6pm at Amaranth Stoneware

Not an experienced potter? No problem! Please consider attending the community charity event to browse some beautiful bowls and eat some delicious soup. We will update with the date of the event shortly.

We are thrilled to share some great news—today, a large portion of our Mudtools crew is officially back to work! 🎉 Thanks to the incredible support from our community, friends, and those far and wide, we’ve made faster progress than we ever anticipated. Your generosity has been a driving force in our recovery, and we’re beyond grateful that we’ve reached 93% of our Mudtools fundraising goal! 🙌

This amazing milestone has allowed us to bring our team back and accelerate our recovery efforts, from rebuilding our workspace to getting back on our feet. We’re also grateful for everyone working hard to clear and rebuild the roadways, making it possible for us to return to work.

We’ll be sharing updates on our website relaunch soon, so stay tuned right here on our social channels. We can’t thank you enough for being part of this journey with us.

P.S. All of us are holding tools that Atticus found and collected along the riverside following the flood. Talk about bringing a new definition to “MudTools”.
