The Social Genocide Exhibition in Canada! 🌍 This April, we're bringing the stories and meaningful items of those who have suffered injustice to the global stage in Canada. Join us this Saturday in City Hall for the profoundly impactful exhibition, shedding light on the silenced voices of social genocide in Turkey. Featuring personal belongings, artworks, and artifacts symbolizing resilience and hope. Sat, April 20th, 12-5 PM.

It is with great honor that we invite you to the profoundly impactful exhibition in , Un-Muted; The Silent Voices of Social Genocide. This exhibition shines a light on the stories of marginalized and persecuted individuals in Turkey, featuring personal belongings, artworks created by unjustly imprisoned individuals, and various artifacts symbolizing resilience and hope. Having toured various locations in the United States, the exhibition now seeks to share these poignant narratives with you, our esteemed guests.

This showcase brings to life the struggles and resilience of Kurds, Alevis, Hizmet Movement volunteers, women, children, journalists, politicians, and activists. Each item, from olive seed bracelets to heartfelt calligraphies, narrates a tale of suffering, resistance, and the indomitable human spirit. This exhibition not only honors the memories of those who have endured but also stands as a testament to the universal values of kindness and humanity that transcend religion, race, and ideology.

Today, a ceremony was held to present the donation cheque to the Canadian Red Cross. The funds were collected from a fundraising initiative organized by the Community Kitchen Co-operative of K-W, KW VegFest, and the IDI-KW / Grand River Friendship Society (GRFS), with the generous assistance of the owners of Queen Shawarma Turkish Cuisine. The donations will be used to aid the earthquake victims in Turkiye and Syria.
We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Berry Vrbanovic (Mayor of Kitchener), Mrs. Dorothy McCabe (Mayor of Waterloo), Mr. Mike Morrice (MP Kitchener—Center), and all other participants for their valuable contributions.
