We did a beta test in the last 2 months, and decided this is the best way that we can serve our customers.
It is quite amazing.... I remember making a video (On the youtube channel 'Jack Chapple') about this 'same-day-shipping' idea in September of 2017. I barely even knew how to program a website at the time, and Joisk wasn't even close to being launched. Yet, over a year later, the idea gets to be executed for real!

When people think of large corporations, they never have this thought, “large corporations were at one time just a small operation”. This is true for every business.
Think of your favorite brand or business. Whatever it is, at one point in time, it was just one to five people who had an idea. That’s it. They didn’t have billions of dollars, worldwide recognition, or a giant corporate office. They just had themselves, and in a lot of cases, a garage.
Many companies started in garages, like Apple, Amazon, and Google. And in some cases, it was their parents garage because they did not have enough money to move out and pay rent!
We all have to start somewhere.

When I came up with the idea for Joisk about a year ago, one of the problems I thought about was 'how can we compete with Amazons 2-day shipping'. I remember coming up with a solution where we could potentially do SAME DAY DELIVERY with no membership/subscription required for the user.
It took about a year before we were able to test our Same-Day Delivery. And recently we completed our first 2-HOUR-DELIVERY. So from the time their item was ordered on Joisk to the time that it was delivered to their location, it was 2 hours. Ideally I would like to implement this method on a larger scale, as it is only available to a few cities within Ontario.
However, it is quite amazing when a business idea that you had over a year ago is able to be executed in reality.

One fun fact about Steve Jobs was that before he passed away, he was actually the largest shareholder of the Walt Disney Corporation. This was because Pixar sold to Disney in 2006. Steve jobs ownership in Pixar got converted into ownership of Disney, so he immediately become the largest owner of Disney.
