ALIKE Youth Empowerment
ALIKE Youth Empowerment will work to strengthen youth skills to eliminate systemic barriers facing Liberian Youth between ages 12-25 in Kitchener.
We empower youth in the Liberian community in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region and abroad to thrive through access to post-secondary education, professional skills development and entrepreneurship, mentorship, and sports.

Dear Members of ALIKE,
Happy July 26th! As we come together to celebrate Liberia’s Independence Day, I want to take a moment to reflect on the progress we have made under our interim administration. Our mandates have been clear: to reconcile our community, amend our constitution, reassure our partners, reconnect with sister organizations, and organize the next elections.
I'm pleased to inform you that significant strides have been made in all these areas. The committee has worked diligently on the constitution amendment, which is expected to be finalized in a few weeks. In the upcoming general elections, members will have the opportunity to suggest amendments, particularly regarding the responsibilities and benefits of ALIKE members.
Tomorrow, a delegation of five members will be traveling to Windsor for the July 26 celebration hosted by Windsor our sister city. We are hopeful that ALIKE will have the honor of hosting the next Valentine party for all sister organizations.
Looking ahead, we have exciting events planned. In August, we will hold a family picnic or a beach outing, and in September, we will launch a back-to-school program for our children and youth. These events are crucial for fostering community spirit and supporting our young members.
Thank you once again for your hard work and commitment. Let's continue to work together to make ALIKE a thriving community.
Happy July 26!
Sincerely,
President Alice Sackor
