SUV smashes into Waterloo house A couple is still shaken after a vehicle smashed into their home early Tuesday morning. Colton Wiens reports.

At Active Towing, we are looking for a couple experienced local truck driver to serve our Roll-off division, in a safe and timely manner.
Our fleet of truck and trailers service the Ontario area, moving construction equipment, excavators, loaders, telehandlers, supplies and materials.
All candidates require the following:
• A DZ or AZ license
• Clean driving abstract
• Good customer service
• Be willing to work different shifts
• Maintain electronic logs
• Perform pre-trips
• Comply with the MTO rules and regulations
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Must have previous experience moving construction equipment and machinery.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

About a week ago, I got a message from my buddy Tim Schott. I hadn't heard from him in awhile so it was pretty random. And it started so generically with "hey Mike, how are you?" followed by "how's the campaign going?" Then Tim asked how far we were from reaching our $140,000 fundraising goal. You know me...I'm always trying to keep a running total in my head so, while I didn't know exactly how far away we were, I guessed at about $15-$20,000. That's when Tim knocked me on my butt. He said he, his sister Lori and his mom Linda would like to make the donation, on behalf of their company Active Towing, so that we could reach our goal. Boom! Today, I visited the family (and met Lori and Linda for the first time) to pick up a $15,000 cheque for cystic fibrosis research. I'll say it again. This campaign doesn't work in every city or town. But it works here thanks to people like the Schotts. We're so grateful.
