We had a great time in Windsor yesterday, and looking forward to the rematch in September. We are only 4 points behind in the standings, after some very competitive games yesterday.

Thank you to Brian Broome for making one of his “CD masterpieces” for the Windsor Lawn Bowling Club. I suggested they put it on their really nice bar. I highly recommend everyone make the “very easy” trip to play there. The greens are amazing and the people are so much fun. 💚

The Dave Defoe Open 5’s tournament at Heritage. This was a first attempt at hosting this format. It was a long day with a few hiccups. Overall, it was a success. I like the format and hope we will fill it again next year. We may make some changes, or perhaps just put in a time limit. After a couple days to digest it, I think it is fine just the way it is. When I play a mixed pairs or triples, of 3x 12 end games, I expect to be at a club for about 6 or 7 hours. When I enter a more competitive event like WOBA, Provincials, etc, I plan for a long day and enjoy it immensely. The plan was to create a day similar to what teams will play at Provincials. I think we did that
Congratulations to all the winners.
