The CAAT A bargaining team and CEC will continue with the conciliation process. The next scheduled date is November 5, 2024. The CEC continues to refuse to remove any of their concessions from the table.

Our Bargaining Team has filed for conciliation and a strike mandate vote. The main reason is the CEC has tabled concessions in their proposals that will negatively impact Faculty working conditions. They are also using delay tactics and not engaging in our proposals.
To counter the CEC tactics, we need a strong Strike Mandate.
The vote will be coming up soon.

WHSC - Day of Mourning April 28 is a National Day of Mourning to recognize workers injured or killed on the job. Unions, labour councils, families and community partners gather annually on April 28 to mourn these losses and vow to prevent more. More than 100 countries now observe the day too.
