A good reminder ☀️
With school right around the corner make sure to keep a look out for these! 👀
What does this look like for your healing? 🤔
What ones do you wish you would have heard as a kid? 🤔
I often tell people that there are a lot of counsellors out there for a reason. Not all of them are going to be a good fit and it can take time to find the one that works for you. Be patient and trust the process ☀️
Good ‘mourning’ everyone! ☀️

Anyone ever get ANGRY or FRUSTRATED? 😤
Anger often covers feelings of pain. Anger is a raw ‘superficial’ emotion that prevents (defends/blocks) you from feeling even more painful emotions, such as sadness. [Source: Goodtherapy.org]
The next time you or someone you know shows up with anger, try to be curious what you aren’t letting yourself feel 🤔

Re-shared from : Burnout can look different in every person.
Burnout is when your mental exhaustion and stress accumulate in your body.
We all experience stress to a certain extent, but when it gets to a point of causing frequent depression or anxiety, it probably is your body telling you that you need to step back and recharge.
Here are some tips that can help you start your self-care journey:
: Set a goal each week where you can take time to exercise, whether it be a light walk or run around the block.
: Start a journal where you can write down your thoughts and feelings.
: Try to meditate once a day or join a yoga studio.
: Taking time to hang out with your loved ones, such as going to a coffee shop and enjoying a cup of coffee can go a long way.
: Take time to know what you are putting into your body, maybe even start meal prepping to help you stay on track with your goals.
: Pull out your favorite book and take time to read and enjoy the silence.
: Ensure you are getting an adequate amount of sleep needed for yourself.
: Engage in positive self-talk and be mindful of what you are saying about yourself.
: You are the only person who knows your hectic schedule. so make sure you are setting realistic goals that are attainable for yourself.
The above tips are just suggestions that can help you engage in self-care, however, you can alter or develop new self-care techniques that will be beneficial for yourself.
What ones can you add to your day? 🥰
What are some other reframes? ❄️

‘True emotional healing doesn’t happen without feeling. The only way out is through.’ -Jessica Moore
How often do you say ‘I’m over it’ ? This is a common thing we tell our selves when we don’t want to deal with the heavy emotions/feelings attached to something.
Remember that being over something is not the same as moving through it or past it and coming to true healing ❤️🩹
What emotions are you avoiding? 🤔
What emotions do YOU hide? 🤔

📚 Journaling has been found to:
☀️ Boost your mood/affect;
☀️ Enhance your sense of well-being;
☀️ Reduce symptoms of depression before an important event;
☀️ Reduce intrusion and avoidance symptoms post-trauma;
☀️ Improve your working memory (Baikie & Wilhelm, 2005).
In particular, journaling can be especially helpful for those with PTSD or a history of trauma.
