In the stillness of dawn, where the night lingers on,
I rise with a purpose, my heart fully drawn.
Tools in my hand, the cold air in my face,
A plumber’s devotion, to each quiet place.
Out in the country, where whispers of breeze
Gently caress the tops of the trees,
I tread soft on dewdrops, my steps light and clear,
To mend the old pipes that sustain lives here.
The moon casts its glow on fields wide and free,
A silver embrace on the land and on me.
The silence, a symphony, the stars’ gentle gleam,
In these early hours, it feels like a dream.
Each pipe tells a story, each leak a new quest,
I find my true calling in this work, no jest.
Beneath farmhouse floors and beneath ancient walls,
I trace every problem, answering the calls.
The rooster may crow, and the first light may peek,
But I revel in moments where dawn’s yet to speak.
There’s a magic in fixing what others might miss,
In the hush of the morning, I find pure bliss.
For it’s not just the plumbing, but the peace that I find,
In the quiet, the country, where heart meets the mind.
At 4 am, in the soft, tranquil air,
I find joy in my labor, with time left to spare .
