Ok enough doom gloom election post let’s look at fall foliage! This is from the gardens around my little home today. I planted all of these over the last 30 years. Some are looking brilliant. The yellow is a giant Ginko tree. It’s about 50 plus feet now . Still young in tree life.

Beautiful morning! That’s the view I see out my front yard each day. Special place to have lived all my life.

This is sure a pretty fall coloured dahlia ! Dont know the name. A customer was kind enough to give me a tuber.

Last bloom on a first year trail seedling. This is bred out of Charlene Princess de Monaco. Same gorgeous fragrance but flower more pink. I love creating the new roses.

“Leap of Faith” Our second rose created by Brad Jalbert to celebrate our 35th year of Select Roses and Brad’s rose breeding program.

Brad took a Leap of Faith 35 years ago leaving his job at a local nursery to found Select Roses and start a rose breeding program! This rose is a gorgeous Floribunda style rose with large full English style flowers. The plant growth dense and bushy to around 3 feet, producing waves of pretty roses all season. The colours are a blend of pinks, softening at the petals base. Foliage is trademark Jalbert, glossy thick ultra deep green and healthy. This rose looks great even when not in flower! If your a fan of the English cottage style flowers you will certainly appreciate this charming beauty. Her size makes or suitable for gardens or larger containers. This stunning new rose has everything we look for in a rose. The colour is a wonderful shade of soft peachy caramel with a slight kiss of pink at the petals edge of the large oval buds. The amount of Kiss, is dependent on weather and temperature. You’ll love these large classic rose buds that pop open to full double HEAVILY ruffled roses! Such a wonderful unique form.
