YQL Sluggers is hosting our fall camp sessions at our new facility beginning in November. We are currently still closed as we are continuing to complete our setup. We are looking to reopen by Halloween. Our new location is just 3 mins east of our old location on highway 3 at 134 Broxburn Blvd.
Camp sessions will begin on November 4. We are only accepting 8 campers for each session. Call or text 403-315-0543 to secure your spot.

Plus I have some free used bats and some worked in baseballs and softballs for the taking.

The 2024 MLB Playoff bracket is officially set.

The weather is beautiful and baseball season is not over. Let’s keep the kids playing for another 6 weeks as the MLB teams hunt for October. ID camp tomorrow night from 5:30-7:30 Atso Junior Diamond. See brochure.

YQL Sluggers is hosting 6 practice games over the next 3 weeks for the P*e Wee division players (2011-2013).
Practices/mini games will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 5:30-7:30 starting Tuesday Aug. 13. Possible season ending tourney. Contact Nick for the deets!

YQL Sluggers Baseball is announcing our updated schedule for Fall 2024. The program will aim to create two teams 15u and 18u. The teams will participate in two tournaments and play an estimated 12 exhibition games against outside competition. Outdoor practices will be on Monday and Wednesday evenings with indoor practices on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Cost will be $600 per player plus $200 in fund raising. Please see attached flyer.

Baseball season isn’t over, we just got past the all-star break. We have 2.5 months of beautiful weather.

YQL Sluggers is running our fall ball program and are looking for players. We anticipate playing in at least three tournaments. Tryouts will commence i in August. See brochure.

YQL Sluggers is hosting some summer baseball camps. The camps will run for 3 weeks beginning Monday July 8 and completing Thursday July 26. Each camp session will include 6 x 1.5 hour sessions. The indoor sessions will focus on hitting and will include video analysis. Each of the sessions will include 2 outdoor sessions. Register today by calling or texting 403-315-0543. YQL Sluggers Amateur Baseball is running a fundraiser in order to support the baseball program. This particular fund raiser is a booze raffle (AGLC License #691437).
There are three prizes;
1) a basket of spirits ($200 value)
2) a basket of beer ($200 value)
3) a basket of wine ($200 value)

Tickets are $10 with a total of 300 printed. Money goes towards the program renting of diamonds as well as paying umpires for their services. In other words, it goes back into the community. We sincerely appreciate the support.

Look what showed up today after 6 months. hmmmmm.

Really awesome way to end the indoor season. We had 5 indoor tournaments over the winter season and all of them were special in their own way. I personally will miss the faces old and new that I met during the last 5 months. A big shout out to Terry Bryce for procuring all the teams that came into YQL Sluggers. I greatly appreciate the patronage of all the players. A special shout out to Jimmy Kitzel for all the support and Atty Charles for preparing the delicious food. I am sad to see you all venture out to the outdoors but I want to wish all of you the best in the 2024 spring/summer season. May the 2024 outdoor season bring you all good health, summer fun and joy. The reason why we all play these games is the socializing and the fun it brings. Thank you everyone for your support❤️.

The bat demo scheduled for tonight sponsored by Rawlings and promoted by Steve Rempel has been cancelled. I would like to thank Steve for his efforts on promoting such a needed event. Hopefully in the future one of these events can generate more interest.

The weather outside is frightful, but at YQL Sluggers it’s delightful. It’s a balmy 20 degrees Celsius indoors and we are playing at Chavez Ravine (aka LA Dodgers) stadium! I LOVE LA! (Randy Neuman style).

The Spring indoor season wrapped with with the Tier 1 division champs, “Legit”. These guys and girls were just that as they ended the season undefeated. I guess it was to be expected given there are a couple of Canadian National players on the team. Both big men can literally smash a softball as there are particles still scattered throughout the cage. Congrats Legit and good luck to all of you this season.

It’s a wrap! The Spring 2024 league is now over. I first off want to thank everyone for joining the league and supporting YQL Sluggers. The B-division champs were the Brits Bombers! Congrats! Lots of new and old faces in the group.
