We recently redid the roof on this house. It was a double tear, there was cedar underneath the old shingles. We also installed trim around the windows, custom fascia, soffit, eavestrough and downspouts.

This is the reality of winter in Lethbridge, everyone knows it. What is scary though, is the fact that while out doing repairs today I saw more roofers on projects than on a busy summer day. Crews ripping off condo roofs and big houses exposed to the wind with brand new shingles installed. There is a reason we shut down for the winter for re-roofing and urge new builders to plan better for building season. Keep your eyes peeled tomorrow for flying shingles 😂

With the near approach of winter and cold weather/snow, the roofing season is wrapped up for us. That means we are booking full roof replacements for next year!
Over the winter we are available for other exterior (and even interior) projects.
1. Siding - hail damage, other damage or just in need of a makeover, we can take on any siding project you may have!
2. Skylights - replacing existing, or adding new . We are velux certified and have the expertise to install the best skylights and sun tunnels on the market.
3. Alternate roofing materials. Shingles are not to be installed in cold weather, but metal and other synthetic products can still be installed in the winter (bar -30 and snowstorms)
4. Interior projects. Keep us warm inside with renovations.

We will still be doing repairs and emergency replacements but will not be performing regular roof replacements over the winter. Other companies may advertise that working through the winter is no problem, but we have chosen to follow best practice for shingles (the most common material used in Lethbridge).

After a pretty calm summer, the wind hit hard yesterday. Lots of roofs damaged around town!

Insurance claim wrapped up for a neighbor earlier this week. We are flying through roofs, and I'm very far behind with pictures.

Wind claim we just finished up in Coalhurst. Lots of missing shingles, restored with a full Duration system. The back entrance had shingles on a 1/12 slope, so we installed a flat roofing system there to make sure it stays leak free for years to come! Great customers! @ Town of Coalhurst

J.R Roofing has a solution for you! We love installing these Velux sun tunnels (and other skylights not pictured) in houses. The difference they make in lighting up an area is tremendous. Sure you could add a potlight or 2 or 9 but adding natural daylight is the best option for sure.

Let's start with an easy one. When you start getting quotes for a project (think bigger purchases like roofing, landscaping, reno, etc) how many quotes are you likely to get before making a choice?

Still getting tons of calls for wind damage from this winter! As you have more time around the house, take a good walk around your house and look for any spots on your roof that look damaged. Exposed plywood, shingles tipped over, missing ridge caps!
We are still able to work at this time and can come take care of repairs and full replacements without face to face contact!

Most people were stocking up on toilet paper, I decided to stock up on roofing supplies. Close to 50,000 square feet of synthetic underlay and some nails to last the first month or 2.
