Our least favourite time of the year has come once again, season close day. It has been a super busy summer for us at Rosie’s Cottage and with all the amazing weather we certainly took advantage of it. We figured we would give you a little recap of what happened this summer. We booked up much quicker then expected with lots of new guests who we absolutely loved getting to know and hopefully we will see some of your familiar faces again next summer, we had some return guests who we were happy to see again, we done some renovations and improved some hiking and walking trails, we’ve added a new patio right on the beach with a fire pit for all our guests to really take advantage of those beautiful warm nights, and we even found an old cellar on the property (thanks Terry!) that makes for a cute little trail walk in the woods to see some real preserved history.
We also added two more Labs to our family pack, newest first mates Duke and Louie helped us close the cottage for the season and they can’t wait for next year to get back to the Island.
When it comes to booking for Rosie’s Cottage our best suggestion is to take advantage of the beginning months of the summer and book early, we were blessed with a beautiful May/June in 2022 and with only being able to be open for a short season it was great to be able to book for those months as well.
We cant wait to see what summer 2023 has in store but until then we’ll be dreaming of Exploits sunsets, the salt water, and stress free days at Rosie’s Cottage.

Meet The Owners!

We’ve told you all about the beauty of Rosie’s Cottage and Exploits Island but we’ve never told you about one of the most important parts of making Rosie’s Cottage what it is, the owners.
Meet my parents and the owners, Chris and Tammy Cuff. As you can tell from the picture, where ever you find them there is usually a pack of black Labs not far behind.
For as long as I can remember Exploits Island has been a home away from home for my parents and in 2019 they purchased one of the last remaining original homesteads with only a dream of being able to restore it back to the original charm so others could experience the hidden treasure of Exploits Island too.
After lots of hard work and one too many Pinterest ideas from mom, they finally welcomed their first guest to Rosie’s Cottage last summer. It has certainly been a dream come true for them and I know they cannot wait to see what the 2022 season has in store!

We hope everyone is as excited about the 2022 season as we are! Last summer was our first season in business and boy did we ever have fun! We loved meeting each and every one of guests, watching our page grow, and most importantly enjoying the beauty of Exploits Island! We are currently taking bookings for the 2022 season so if you’ve been thinking about booking your weekend get away now is your chance! 🛥⚓️

It was another beautiful weekend on Exploits Island! We planted some flowers around the cottage, got our new sign up, and took lots of pictures! Stay turned to see the views you could have while drinking your morning coffee at Rosie’s Cottage! 🤗

Rosie’s cottage, located on resettled Exploits Island is a little slice of heaven on earth. Includes 2 bedrooms, with double beds and a loft with a single bed. With the help of homemade quilts and quiet rocking chairs to reflect on olden days; Rosie’s cottage is truly like no other.
You can step outside and relax on the wrap around patio with a peaceful view of the harbour or take a stroll around the island on the original rocked out roadway.
If you’re feeling extra adventurous you can pack a lunch and hike to the lighthouse or maybe just enjoy a picnic on the trail while taking in the unique scenery and tranquil atmosphere.
Exploits is place where you leave your worries and stress on the wharf and take a step back into quieter times and embrace a weekend you’ll never forget.
