We met MorningWalks earlier this week when we were fellow vendors at 2 of the same markets! We were happy to share our treats with Kim on Saturday. A little sweet surprise can really brighten up someone’s day!

Black Forest Cake.

Our single layer version of the classic. Juicy maple roasted roasted top a thick layer of rich rye chocolate cake, 70 % chocolate ganache and whipped cream featuring sweet, soft cheese. Decadent and on the menu this month while cherries are available!

Zucchini Walnut Bread.

Our July Menu is bursting with flavours of some of our best local produce and berries of the season. One of our loaves on the menu this month is a lightly spiced zucchini bread with toasted walnuts, poppyseeds, a little lemon and 100% whole wheat pastry flour.

With an expanding list of vendors, a new location and a growing group of loyal market goers, we're excited to be participating in our second season of the Ilderton Farmers Market! Make sure to plan a visit (or many) to 100 Meadowcreek Drive in Ilderton on Saturday mornings from 9 am - 12 pm. Bring your appetites, your reusable shopping bags and be ready to try something new and meet some new faces!

Meet our Bakers Series #1

Following her curiosity and passion for food, Vanessa attended a Culinary Arts program at London’s Fanshawe College. Not long after graduating, she was drawn towards the sweet side of the kitchen and made the move to Toronto and later Stratford, gaining 20 years of experience in professional kitchens.

Her creations are inspired by flavourful and nutritious whole grains, rustic baking styles, and the many wonderful ingredients our region has to offer. In 2022 The Baker’s Project was created as a way to share the style of baking she enjoys making at home with others.

Through The Baker’s Project, Vanessa is looking to build relationships with those who grow and produce our ingredients, to make connections by sharing stories from our kitchens, farms, and creative spaces, and to always keep learning!

Momma Quiche.

A very special quiche for celebrating the ones we love on Mother’s Day weekend. Featuring spring kale, bacon, caramelized onion and 5 Brother’s Cheese baked with a creamy custard filling made with duck eggs & whole milk, all in a flaky spelt crust.

Simply tent quiche slices with foil & warm in a 350 F oven for 15 - 20 minutes & serve along side a light leafy green salad for a delightful late breakfast or an early lunch.

Available to order from our Mother’s Day menu for delivery Friday May 10th & Saturday May 11th.

Oatmeal Date Scones.

Golden buttery scones with a little whole wheat flour, toasted oats, dates & honey. Enjoy warm with a generous smear of honey butter. Great for brunch, tea or freeze to treat yourself throughout the week!

Sweet on You Cookie Box.

Show that amazing someone in your life some love, with the gift of cookies! Gift, share, indulge..whatever makes you happy. This sweet little box comes with a dozen lovely cookies. Ricciarelli: a chewy almond cookie with hints of lemon and honey. Almond & Fig Biscotti: toasted almonds, orange zest, anise, jammy figs & caramelized white chocolate. Einkorn Shortbread: tender & buttery with toasted hazelnuts & milk chocolate.

Poppyseed Apricot Sourdough Babka

Naturally leavened buttery sweet dough, kissed with cardamom, braided with a creamy poppyseed filling speckled with pieces of chewy dried apricot. Baked to a deep golden brown, finished with honey syrup. Made for enjoying by the slice or just tear into chunks as you please, it’s good either way!

Glazed Lemon Loaf.

A tender loaf featuring flavours of zesty lemon, olive oil, kamut and cornmeal, topped with a thin yogurt glaze. Not too sweet, this makes for a delightful afternoon treat with a hot cup of tea.

Poppyseed, Yogurt & Fennel Sourdough.

A fluffy loaf featuring Kamut flour & toasted fennel seeds, finished with a nice crust coated with poppyseeds. A long over night fermentation, our whole grain sourdough starter & local natural yogurt from give this loaf it’s mild sour flavour. Lovely toasted with butter & marmalade.

Cornmeal Sugar Cookie.

A sweet little twist on your classic sugar cookie is making its return to our April Menu. Buttery and tender with local corn flour, chewy dried apricots and the subtle warmth of turmeric. A wee bit of sunshine in every bite! The perfect cookie to welcome Spring.

The addition of wholegrain sourdough starter, crushed pineapple & Einkorn flour make this version a fun, flavourful twist on classic carrot cake. A very moist cake with a comforting warmth from cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Finished with fluffy brown butter cream cheese icing, bee pollen, candied ginger & beautiful edible florals from .

Cornmeal Buttermilk Sourdough.

A rustic loaf featuring the natural sweetness of local cornmeal, syrup & tangy buttermilk. Excellent torn apart for dipping into hearty soups & chili or use thick slices for turkey sandwiches. Lightly toasted with smears of butter make for a lovely breakfast.

Chocolate Buckwheat Torte.

A rich, dense cake with toasted ground almonds, whole grain buckwheat flour & bittersweet 70 % chocolate stealing the show. Finished with thick swirls of buckwheat honey ganache & beautiful edible florals. Accompanied by lightly sweetened whipped cream or creme fraiche makes for a simple yet elegant dessert.

A simple, rustic bread with plenty of golden crisp crust & a tangy, tender crumb within, perfect for tearing into any time of day. Delightful with butter & jam in the morning or along side a hearty bowl of your favourite soup.

Rye Brownie with Matcha Cheesecake Swirl.

Enjoy a magical matcha swirl dancing throughout our rich, decadent fudge brownie. 60 % chocolate from brings notes of honey and grape to complement the sweet grassy flavours of matcha. We use Crowdie from for the cheesecake swirl, delightful & creamy with its mild tang.

This month’s brownie with its hint o’green is a nod to St.Patricks Day & the early signs of Spring. Available for order on our website, that’s right!

Oat & Kasha Porridge Loaf.

Oat groats & kasha toasted in butter & honey, simmered to a porridge. This flavourful porridge gives this sourdough pan loaf a creamy crumb & an extended counter life. Enjoy slices deeply toasted with excessive amounts of butter & honey, sliced thin & piled high with your go-to sandwich toppings or toast up chunks for some rustic croutons to add to a fresh salad or bowl of hearty soup.

This loaf was well received at our markets last summer & now it’s on this month’s menu! Available for order through our website for weekend delivery.

Sticky Date Cake.

Sweet & moist, this cake is sure to please. Creamy medjool dates softened in spicy chai tea, with spelt & teff flours. Finished with a buttery brown sugar toffee sauce with a wee bit of brandy. Simple but oh-so-good.

Our order cut off each week is Wednesdays at noon for weekend delivery. Orders are welcomed through our website.

We really like this idea! This month is the first time we’re trying out the baker’s choice box. We’re really hoping you enjoy it so much that we can offer it every month!

Sourdough Hot Cross Buns!

A sourdough version of an Easter favourite. These beauties feature hard cider soaked currants & raisins, fresh citrus zest, a warm blend of spices, a little whole grain spelt flour & a whole lotta love, finished with a honey glaze. Delicious day off & simply delightful toasted the next day with a generous smear of your favourite butter. See the last photo to see the true beauty that is Jersey butter in action.

Because we love these so much, these buns will be on our menu for March & April!

Spent Grain & Fig Sourdough.

This rustic loaf features sweet pockets of jammy figs, Einkorn flour and spent grain from organic lager production. Overnight fermentation for flavour and digestibility. Easy to enjoy deeply toasted with butter and honey, or simply tear apart and dip chunks in a hearty soup or chili.
