With the objectives of compassion, efficiency, and attention to detail, Katie and Dakota offer intentional and decisive event and wedding planning so that clients may feel like guests at their own event.

Specializing in Day-Of Coordination and D.I.Y. events, Organized by Day offers flexible and customized packages that are tailored to each unique event so that the client may feel supported throughout the planning process.

Outside of work, Katie and Dakota devote much of their free time to their dogs. With a thirst for adventure, they love to travel and hope to see the world. Katie and Dakota believe in the importance of a healthy work-life balance and are always husband and wife first, and business partners second, but make a great team in everything they do.

With twelve plus years of managerial, administrative, and training experience, Dakota has always had the goal of one day owning and managing his own business. His previous work experience has taught him time management, productivity, and coaching. With a natural spatial sense, a knack for organization, and a dedication to cleanliness, Dakota looks forward to helping clients remove the stress from their special event so they can feel worry-free throughout the planning process.

Dakota is in the process of completing his Ultimate Event & Wedding Planner™ (UEPC™, UWPC™) certification.

Meet Katie!

For as long as she can remember, Katie has been in love with weddings and basically started planning her own wedding as early as her pre-teen years. With a meticulous nature, Katie has a passion for planning events and keeping others organized and on schedule. With degrees in Psychology and Education, as well as background work experience in Human Resources and Training, Katie knows how to work with all types of couples, vendors, and event staff. She is enthusiastic to turn this life-long passion into a career path.

Katie is a Certified Ultimate Event & Wedding Planner™ (UEPC™, UWPC™) and a Certified Ultimate Decorator &ReDesigner™ (URDC™)
