Great second day at London Comic Con! Congrats to Josh B from Aylmer for winning the draw for the Imp’s Quest beta-beta version! It’s going to a great home—you deserve it! For those following us for Imp’s Quest, I will post updates whenever I make some noteworthy progress. It’s 95% done, but it needs to have a few full playthroughs after that before it can be released. Christmas is possible, but it’s more likely I will have something fully complete and awesome together by next ComicCon. I will keep you posted. Thanks for your support!! Much love!!

Great first day at London Comic Con! Come see us between 10 and 4 PM tomorrow (Sunday) in Artist Alley, especially if you’re a self-professed nerd. We have 2/10 boxed Overhale games left, and we will be doing a draw tomorrow at 2:00 PM to win a one-of-a-kind Imp’s Quest beta-beta version of the game. There’s also posters of our original art and a few oil on canvas repros left! The geek shall inherit the earth!

Getting geared up for London Comic Con with some oil painting prints. Stop by our table this weekend if you’re at the Con! For fans of Tim and Eric: I repainted the Tim Heidecker oil-on-canvas from the universe sketch--part of my YART project. It was crying out for a makeover. Repainted by hand using the original as a guide and added the misspelled acronym (or "anagram", as Donna calls it) in Photoshop. Have an awesome Christmas! And remember: if you put the universe into a tube, you will end up with a very long tube.

Because my YART painting prints were a big hit at Comic-Con this year (they all sold out), I decided to step it up a notch and reproduce some of my paintings in a higher quality format. Behold! The following repainted prints are for sale, just in time for the upcoming holiday season!

I call them “repainted prints” because they are exactly that. I had the originals printed on high-quality canvas, and then I repainted over them with oil paint and gloss medium to give it an authentic oil-on-canvas look. Each painting is true to the original but has its own personal touches/differences. I’ve included some pics of the process so that you can see the brush stokes and textures. I dare say that they may even look better than the originals!

Each print is priced according to its material cost and the time it took the repaint. Some were more labour-intensive than others. But if you’d like to snag one of these repainted prints for your rumpus room, bomb shelter, or as a quirky holiday gift, it’s first come, first served. Send a private message to [email protected].

As a bonus, for those who live in the London (Ontario) area and can do cash, I can slash 25% off the price, and if you’re close enough I can deliver it to your doorstep, thereby saving you a delivery fee!

It was great meeting so many new friends and fans at London Comic Con! We need your help with a very serious matter. The new Spanish translation of W***y Bum Bum: The Completely Unnecessary Book is mostly completed. However, we find ourselves faced with a very serious and grave dilemma:

Should the title (and lyrics) be Pilín Cola Cola or Pito Cola Cola?

We want to find a translation for “willy” in Spanish that has the following criteria:
• It is fun and playful and not too gritty, vulgar, or blunt (no curse words).
• It is a euphemism in Spanish that both adults and children might use, but is not too juvenile or babyish.
• It is largely inoffensive.
• It is universally known in most major Spanish-speaking countries.

BlankSpace is looking for a translator to convert the most ridiculous book ever published—based on the most ridiculous video ever created—into Spanish! We’ve already translated it into German, French, and Turkish, so Spanish seems to be the next logical choice. Timeline for completion: Hopefully by the end of June, but we’re flexible. We are aiming for a July/August release date so we can launch it at Comic-Con in September.

Payment: Negotiable, but generally we pay translators by the hour based on word count. Payment is in CAD, but we can also do USD. It’s a pretty short book.

Experience: We usually work with translators who have a history of translating books and other creative media. Send us examples or a synopsis of other work you’ve translated from English into Spanish. Creative media translation experience is preferred but not necessarily required.

Other requirements: A sense of humour and joie de vivre. Watch the video first before you message us. Be forewarned that once you watch it, you will live your life pre- and post-W***y Bum Bum. There is also a link to the English book version below.
