Did you know that the funeral industry is governed by the BAO (Bereavement Authority of Ontario)? One of the requirements of the BAO is that we take direction from the Estate Trustee(s)/Executor(s)/Administrator(s) if there is a will.
If you have a will, please ensure that you have a SIGNED copy of the will (photocopy is permitted). A “copy stamp” of the will with no signature is NOT a valid will and may hold up the funeral/burial/cremation arrangements. To ensure you do not have this issue please contact your lawyer and get a signed copy of the will. Once you have obtained a signed copy of the will, please keep it with your other legal documents and ensure that Estate Trustee(s)/Executor(s)/Administrator(s) can locate it upon death.
If there is no will the following may act as the legal representative:
1. Spouse
2. Adult children (18 and over)
3. Parents
4. Siblings

The staff got together at Elmwood Lawn Bowling Club for a night of fun. Thank you to Carolyn and Charlotte and the rest of the members for making it such an amazing night.
We recently purchased four new pieces of art for our reception centre. While searching online, we came across the Compassion Gallery (located in London, Ontario) which sell limited-edition fine art photography prints and then donate 100% of the profit to charity. It is a website created by the photographers and entrepreneurs Ray Majoran and Brian Klassen. We selected four prints to match the seasons in southwestern Ontario with all the photographs having been taken in the local area.
Thank you Ray for all your help during this process as well as to Glenda from Canvas N Décor for doing such a wonderful job printing and framing them for us.
