It's July, which means it's time to think about autumn... I'm THAT person.. One cooler morning or evening, and my mind trails off to copper toned leaves and vibrant jewel tones. Why am I this way? 🤣

Colour pops! With the trend in bridal flowers continuing to head towards floral focus and smaller scale, I've been pondering and re-working estimates lately to come up with new plans for minimal personal flowers and highlights on big impact pieces. Our job sometimes is to figure out how to make dreams come true with smaller budgets. That's cool with me. I'm here to make you beautiful things and imagine possibilities you may not have thought of. ✨️

It's the end of the school year, with one more day left. Where does the time go? I remember my littles' first day of kindergarten so vividly and how scared I was. What if people were mean to her? What if she needed help in the washroom? What if she needed her Mama? Now she's heading off to grade 6, totally independent and comfortable in her own skin without any fear. You know you've done an OK job when your children are confident to take on the world with or without you. 😭
Anyway.. Here's the cutest teachers gift I'm sending to school tomorrow. A mini local flower arrangement and our VDK Grow & Bloom card. Grab and go if you have time to stop in tomorrow.

Plants are the coolest! Our week begins again tomorrow with a bunch of really beautiful local flowers, some new offerings, AND some new workshop plans. July is always a bit slower for us for weddings (thankfully.. it's too darn hot and everyone needs a vacation) so there's more time to focus on other things. 🌿

It's always so great to share floristry with people who have never made an arrangement before. Now, these basic fundamentals can be used and built upon for years to come! Making friends through flowers. :)

As a florist and Mom, I get to double down on all the glory this weekend, which is the best! Both highly specialized roles that I will never take lightly.
Thank you for choosing us to send such special and thoughtful gestures. We sent out so many beautiful flowers with just a small but mighty team of 3 and our highly efficient delivery service. I have now retired to my ice packs and heating pad and will re-surface next week as we jump into the wedding and preservation season.

We love custom dish garden orders! Making these mini gardens has always been one of my favorite things! It's so fun to pair colours and textures while keeping care and maintenance requirements the same. So often, you find dish gardens filled with plants that have conflicting care. Not over here... We might actually know what we're doing and always want to set you up for success. 😄🪴

As a planet and nature lover, I am always looking for ways to increase sustainability and environmentally friendly practices into this business. Here are just some of the says we are doing our part to minimize our footprint..
🌎 We source our products domestically. I actually cut back significantly on mass manufactured pottery and glassware over the last few years.
🌎 We use as much biodegradable packaging as possible. Our designs are foam free, and we water pack our bouquets in biodegradable materials with the exception of cellophane. But I continue to look for a better alternative. You will find no plastic card holders or water picks here.
🌎We support local growers during the growing season who share similar values and implement their own sustainable business practices.
🌎We continue to plant and grow many new plants every year, basically farming clean oxygen. 😀
Two big ones on my list this year is to install rain barrels where I can and find a large composting program for all of our leaf and plant scraps.
We've got one Earth just like we've got one life. We get one shot at this existence, and being more conscious of our pollution collectively can have a massive result. Please take care of our Momma Earth.✌️
