William Duhart Autobody Repairs
Cars, trucks, large trucks, antique vehicles
Repair, refinish and paint. Then it's fabricate, weld , refinish and paint. Undercoating was done as well. It takes time but after awhile it comes together.
Really nice truck...side panels are getting harder to repair because of the many shapes involved. But it all worked out. Welding up the bottom of the driver's door and kept hearing something inside, just a ball bearing and some plastic bits.
Shop cats sharing a meal. Seems to be different ones every year.
It's been awhile since I have done this, but it was a daily routine years ago. Everything has to be pulled out and aligned first.
Repair and replace what was necessary.
Quarter panel damage..repair rather than replace.
Seems to be a common problem with the ford f150.
Came in for a touch up. Not much left for touching up. Don't worry i undercoated well after I got done
Audi front front k member repair. Went overkill with metal thickness. Should last awhile
Flying debris, can cause a lot of damage. Yes everything has to come apart.
Could have replaced it, just seems quicker for me to do the repair
Sometimes it's just a touch up..
For a 20 year old van it's in really good condition. Just a few minor issues and it's good to go...
Rusted rivets and brackets caused the fender to fall off and get run over by the truck. Had to heat it and reshape, fiberglass and refinish, then paint. Seemed to work out..
Older Toyota truck. Upper control arm pulled out of the top of the frame, motor mount was gone as well. Removing everything then starting over.
Had to remove a rotten wooded box. Found a few steel boxes, but they were beyond repair. Ended up with a box from a 97 without the sides, but the rest is decent. Found the sides off of a 67, this might work. For 30 years Ford has used the same structure dimensions for their boxes. After trimming the panel for what is needed, seems to be a good fit. Box to frame is a good fit also. Was told by a few good luck finding a unicorn, no problem I'll just make one.
Light damage for a deer 🦌...out the next day..
Came out better than I expected..
Really nice car...no dents allowed..
Doesn't look bad till you start cutting and pulling it apart. Both sides are completely gone inside and out. The after market panel's that were used at one time are very thin, so I'm better off with making my own.
Ready for inspection ..
It's best to look after your vehicle..
A few more deers...
When a deer gets in the way...
Inspection time.
Working with a tailgate can be difficult because it's boxed in with divider walls. Making a sharp crease hard to deal with. You can spot weld pull pins or a piece of metal to pull it out, that burns the inside panel ,creating a rust problem later. Using a small duck's bill is a better idea if you can get it in place. This barely fit into the tailgate ,but done the job .
All I can do is keep cutting until I find something solid to work with. All of the metal used is 14 ga.gal, so it's very hard to work with.
Making a plan on how the repairs are going to be done, looks can be deceiving until you cut it apart. Wasn't expecting to see a rockerpanel over a existing panel. That's how they rot out even faster.
Removing everything from the vehicle before welding is actually the biggest job.
