I can't describe how this makes me feel, when another person expresses their love for my daughter in such a meaningful, simple yet eloquent way. Crazy. sunsetto aka Kyle Mischiek nailed it. "She's the Whole World" captures A LOT in 2 minutes and 7 seconds.

My studio schedule isn't going to allow allow me to make the trek to PEI for this year's East Coast Music Association (ECMA) action, but I wish all the nominees the best. Atlantic Canada has an incredible wealth of talent worthy of great celebrations!

The ECMA folks changed the category this year to all all encompassing "Audio Engineer of the Year". To make a living in music production one must be diverse in one's audio activities, so this reclassification makes sense to me. I record a lot different types of acoustic music including classical which is definitely deserving of serious recognition as well. There are a pile of hard working classical musicians out there making sincere efforts to getting their art out to the world. Congrats to every single nominee.

It was an action packed day recording the Duruflé Requiem with King’s College Chapel Choir. Working along side Nick, Paul and Vanessa Halley on the artistic side and Picnic Studios on the video side. We’ll post the link when it’s ready!

Here we are recording a new event (Veritas 3.0) for the Aeolian Singers in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The choir commissioned 2 new compositions from Carmen Braden and Marie-Claire Saindon which they will premiere online in March. We’re doing out best to help these ensembles maintain a their profile and present their art with high quality audio and video.

We’re hard at work putting this presentation together!

Over the last 3 days we have been busy at work shooting and recording some amazing music with multiple pianos... the pianos were temporarily stored in the Dal Art Gallery and it was Lukas Pearse and Upstream Music Association who instigated it all. Music by Crofts, Reich and Palmer. We can’t wait to share these excellent performances with you but first we have a little editing and mixing to do. Stay tuned!
