Thank you to all our guests for your concern regarding Hurricane Fiona.
We were very fortunate on the South Shore and besides a few twigs & leaves down and power out for 20 hours we suffered very little.
As you see our neighbours to the North had some terrible devastation and we are thinking of them.
My mother is visiting and here she was yesterday...the calm after the storm.

This is Lion’s Room…Bright's mate Lion would have lived here…the pride of Lunenburg Co…

Oxen in Nova Scotia are usually called only two names, Lion and Bright.

All Lions are trained to work on the left side and all Brights to work on the right, though most can work both sides.

This is "Bright’s Room"…well this is an old, old barn and "Bright", the ox would have lived here with "Lion"... next week you'll get to see his room!

The Suite….well now this is converted to a lovely ground floor bedroom with a spacious sitting room and patio doors onto a private deck….must have run out of names here! The views of Indian Point and sunrise lure you to the deck.

The Barn Apartment, and yes, this building was a Barn…Now converted into a lovely spacious apartment. The hay and straw are long gone…but just as comfy now!

Another tidbit of info on our rooms; Katie’s Room…named after our niece who stayed with us the first year we opened here 1998….special times…now when “her” room is full she gets to sleep in the tent!!

Yet another nautically themed room named after the famous sailing vessel and on some special nights in the summer you can see the actual Bluenose from your bed!
